Question Keep Navigation Map on but radio off?

Hi, so I got a new 2012 Summit last week, what an outstanding truck My first Chrysler product ever and couldn't be happier...

Coming from a Lexus, I'm used to having the Navigation map on all the time, independent of the radio being on or off.

Is there a way to have the 730N unit with the Map on, but the radio off without having to turn the volume down all the way?

The best approach is to select CD but don't load a CD. The speakers won't be energized at all.

Or, just turn the master volume down. The GPS has independent volume control, so you will still hear it.

OK I don't feel that bad thinking that that was the correct approach (selecting DISC mode with no disc in). Wish that pushing the button on the 730N would turn off the radio, and keep the Nav going.

I had the same thought that there must be a mute button somewhere. The noted workarounds work fine though.

This is my first Chrysler product coming from an ML350, and like you, so far I'm very impressed.
