Laredo X Cannot be Upgraded w/ A 730N???

When I purchased a 2011 LaredoX recently, it was equipped with a basic 430 Unit. I had test driven other models on the lot with a 430N, which I wanted. I was finally convinced a unit in the showroom was the right specimen for me, and when I went to test drive it just to make sure . . . OMG . . the dealer "didn't realize" this showroom Jeep only had plain 430. So we "made a deal" that he would upgrade the 430 to a 730N for a small fee.
After waiting 2 weeks for the 730N to arrive, they installed & claimed "the microphone is broken so the voice command doesn't work". Ordered another 730N . . . . 2 more weeks . . .now they say . . it wasn't broken . . you "can't" put a 730N on a Laredo X and get the voice command to work. . . they are incompatible. Are they right? Or is there a procedure to make this work? Any advice appreciated. Thx

Just curious, how much was the "small fee" for the upgrade? I'm assuming you had to pay the standard $395 upgrade fee from a 430 to a 430N first and then the small fee to the 730N, or was it just the small fee to go from 430 to 730N?

Thanks!
