I have a 730N (RER) and the iPod connection is in the space under the unit. I have an old iPod nano plugged in and it works fine. My question is, can I leave it connected when I turn off the car? I noticed it was charging when I turned off the car so didn't know if this would slowly drain the battery. Any thoughts?
I've been leaving my Classic in the vehicle, and haven't woken up to a dead battery. I'm not sure exactly when it quits charging the iPod (say, after a period of a few minutes after turning vehicle off), but if the iPod kills the battery, it was dead anyway; the iPod would be fully charged with only a tiny fraction of the capacity of the vehicle battery.
