Re: Loading Pictures

This community has been my only sanity. I have found more answers here than with the so-called experts at the dealerships. In fact, it may very well keep me in the vehicle. However, all the different answers definitely seem to be conflicting. Besides the pictures, I still haven't figured out how to load music on the hard drive.

Re: Loading Pictures

The '14 doesn't have a hard drive you can load music to. USB and SD cards can be loaded with music and used.

Great, well another thing the salesperson lied to us about. I'll tell you, I don't know what is so special about this Uconnect system that all the major media people like Edmunds/MT rave about. You can't load pictures, you can't load music to it, etc. There are other systems such as the idrive/mbrace/even mazda's 2014 that are much much better.

Ok - maybe its time to move on. I understand your frustration. Simply complaining about your current vehicle wont make it better. I was going to either pay to repair my 2011 or just move on and start new. I decided to move on. Check out the Mazda - it might be a great fit.

Re: Loading Pictures

Tryan,

That was a rather condescending tone. I wasn't complaining. I was speaking the reality of the car and explaining how I was lied to by the sales people at crappy Jeep.

That's rather insulting to just state "its time to move on." I can't just take a 10k hit on a vehicle because Jeep built an inferior product in many areas. I spent about 10k more than you did on your vehicle, so don't talk.

Really???? I mean really?????
Instead of complaining about this issue, you should have done your research up front instead of just talking to a sales guy. They are usually not the most knowledgeable people, and alot more information can be had on the internet.

I'm loving my "crappy jeep"

Re: Loading Pictures

Im curious as to why being able to load pictures on your radio is a make or break issue?
You should be looking at the road, not staring at photos of yourself/family.

I can tell you also, it took me about 15 seconds of playing with the radio (before i bought it) to realize it had no HD. There is no choice for it, there is no "manage files" etc. If you really want to load music in to the system, buy an SD card, load the music on it... and leave it plugged in.

if you REALLY want to look at pics... mount your phone to the windshield with an $8 window mount and put the pics into a slideshow. TADA!

If not loading images is your worst complaint.... then you need to get your priorities straight. No offense intended, i myself, 1 week after buying, have to go in to have my radio replaced.

Re: Loading Pictures

I just bought the 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo. with the U connect 8.4A radio. didn't have navigation
I went to the dealer & for $595 they installed & activated it. Its great. I also tried to play JPegs from SD card Etc & it doesn't recognize the format. Very High Tech radio should be able to view Pics
