I thought the CHR550 is an even more advanced v4...

ALL THE FEATURES OF THE MYGIG LOCKPICK V.4
NOW WITH MULTI-CAMERA, STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, TOUCH SCREEN
AND UNMATCHED IPOD/IPHONE/IPAD SUPPORT

Not sure of the difference between the two besides the CHR550 gives an IPOD direct connection, but the 730RER already has it, so is the more expensive lockpick not necessary then?

Sent them an E-mail this morning and just got a reply.

My version 3 Lockpick and the version 4 are completely different in hardware and firmware so no update possible.

The speed display would have been nice but it's not a biggie for me.

Yep...I don't have that option on my CHR550 either. It kind of p'ss me off though because the whole purpose of that USB cable is to be able to update it via software and since there is a "soft button" one would logically think this would be possible via a software upgrade.
