I'm actually a JK owner but trying to find out some information on the RHB navigation system, specifically where the GPS antenna is located and how it is connected.
shows no blue GPS FAKRA connection on the back of the unit. Just white for FM, and yellow for Sirius.
Is the GPS antenna for RHB really internal to the unit, as the seller suggests? Has anyone pulled an RHB from an WK2 and noticed a connection for a GPS antenna? The manual for RHB suggests that the antenna is external.
Can't speak to that unit, but most if not all 2011 JGC's that I've seen with NAV do have an external GPS antennae located on the drivers side rear of the roof. It looks smaller than a deck of cards.
I thought that the black flat antenna on the roof beside the AM/FM antenna was the sat antenna, and that the GPS antenna has always been in the unit or the dash. My Overland BTW does not have the antenna beside the AM/FM antenna sat or otherwise.

I looked at the EBAY listing again and the picture does look like a 430N, but the 430N is sales code RHB not RER. The sales code for the 730N is RER. I would question the seller.
when i installed my lockpick on the 730 there was a flexible "wire" antennae that was around and under the front of the unit inside the dash that is probably the nav antennae. I believe the satellite radio and regular am/fm are contained in a single unit. Im sure if you have the internet or whatever it might be an additional antennae though.
Here is a picture of the roof of my Overland with the 430N RHB media center. I have only the AM/FM antenna. I did however see on line a picture of an early 2011 GJC that had a deck of playing card size antenna next to the AM/FM antenna, but mine doesn't have it.
In looking at my Limited - and the OEM GPS components available from Garmin - I strongly suspect that the GPS antenna is under the small circle (about 1.25" dia) just to the right of the center speaker in the top of the dash. Also, this from the Jeep radio book for the 430N:
"The antenna for the navigation GPS system is mounted in
various locations (depending on the vehicle model)
within the dashboard. Do not place items on the dashboard
around the GPS antenna location. Objects placed
within the line of sight of the antenna will decrease
performance. Do not place items directly on or above the
antenna."
