It's highly unlikely that he was test driving an in stock WK2 with the RHR over the past 3 weeks since the first units with the RHR just started to hit the showrooms late last week and most were sold orders.
AND, the RHR DOES NOT HAVE THE CENTER CONSOLE iPOD CABLE, it uses a USB port in the armrest and unless he brought his own cable there would be nothing to plug into.
Ok gals/guys, I want to thank you for all of the information. This being my first experience with Jeep I am still a little wet behind the ears here, but I think I got it now. With the info I have read I can now correct a few things I stated in my opening post.
First of all, I had originally stated that I test drove a 2011 GC Overland with the 730N RHR. Not so! I assumed that because the dealer told me they had just received the vehicle. I called the dealership today and it turns out that they did "just" receive that vehicle but not from the manufacturer, but from another dealer! So actually it was an RER vehicle. I have one on order that will arrive in 30-45 days. From everything I have read here, after talking to the dealer, and from another post, I can now confidently say that I will be receiving a 730N RHR! In the other post I read, it looks like the RHR will also include bluetooth audio or Audio streaming through bluetooth... I test drove the X3/X5 and ford explorer with this option and I really liked it because you can hand the phone to anyone in the vehicle and they can browse and play songs from the device ( or any device paired through bluetooth) wirelessly. Pretty cool! I will try to track down an RHR so I can try it out... Once again thanks...
