Sooo...from what he said, I deducted that his WK2 does indeed have the RHR radio.
I think were are talking past each other. He doesn't have HIS WK2 yet, only the order sheet which seems to state RHR which would be correct if it isn't built yet because they stopped installing the RER in December. The one he said he was having trouble with was a unit already in stock that he was test driving. Here's the first line of his original post.

I have been test driving mid to large size SUV's the past 3 weeks and I fell in love with the new GC Overland (WKJS74 , HEMI, 730N RHR). The one that I test drove has the new 730 RHR media center. I test drove it 2 times
It's highly unlikely that he was test driving an in stock WK2 with the RHR over the past 3 weeks since the first units with the RHR just started to hit the showrooms late last week and most were sold orders.

AND, the RHR DOES NOT HAVE THE CENTER CONSOLE iPOD CABLE, it uses a USB port in the armrest and unless he brought his own cable there would be nothing to plug into.

Ok gals/guys, I want to thank you for all of the information. This being my first experience with Jeep I am still a little wet behind the ears here, but I think I got it now. With the info I have read I can now correct a few things I stated in my opening post.

First of all, I had originally stated that I test drove a 2011 GC Overland with the 730N RHR. Not so! I assumed that because the dealer told me they had just received the vehicle. I called the dealership today and it turns out that they did "just" receive that vehicle but not from the manufacturer, but from another dealer! So actually it was an RER vehicle. I have one on order that will arrive in 30-45 days. From everything I have read here, after talking to the dealer, and from another post, I can now confidently say that I will be receiving a 730N RHR! In the other post I read, it looks like the RHR will also include bluetooth audio or Audio streaming through bluetooth... I test drove the X3/X5 and ford explorer with this option and I really liked it because you can hand the phone to anyone in the vehicle and they can browse and play songs from the device ( or any device paired through bluetooth) wirelessly. Pretty cool! I will try to track down an RHR so I can try it out... Once again thanks...

Re: Media Center 730N (RHR)???????????????

I also went thru the Apple U Connect trials before ordering my Overland. The 730 RER with the thick cable did work fine on the test vehicle. When I placed my order, the 730 was an "option" but I could not order anything else. I just got my Overland last week and it has the 730 RHR with the USB port in the arm console (no port in the forward console). With my Iphone 4, bluetooth calls work (still have not seen the phone book come up) and bluetooth music streaming works. Bluetooth streaming just plays whatever music is playing on the phone - all the controls are on the phone. You can only pause or play from the 730. I have not been able to connect reliably with the USB cable. Sometimes it connect, but will not play - othertimes it will not connect at all. The dealer mentioned a problem like this when I was test driving and they had solved it by replacing a module (power module) with a later version and it was then fixed. I have a call into them today to try and get the same fix - I'll post an update when I have a more definitive answer.

Took 6-7 weeks to get mine. Getting around 15mpg to/from work with the V8.

Re: Media Center 730N (RHR)???????????????

Hi, I have an ipod touch (1st gen)- was working fine at first now all of a sudden not. It sees the device but it will not play. I have reset the ipod and turned the unit on and off. Also tried from usb port on radio- same results. At first when I went to the AUX screen I saw "stopped" on the screen in red letters- now that is gone. Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Media Center 730N (RHR)???????????????

I've just about given up on iPod/iPhone integration for music in the Jeep. I'm now putting music on my android phone which the RHR sees as a USB drive and plays just fine. Just get a cheap thumb drive...it will be easier. Screw apple and it's difficult integration. (as I type this on my iPad!)

Since my last post on this thread, I abandoned my Overland order and picked up a Summit with 8 miles on it with the RHR. I can say that I have had minimal issues with it. I have been upgrading my iPhone 4 OS as new ones come out. I am currently running OS 4.3.3 and have no issues with it connecting or reading data using the armrest USB. Everything works adequately, however album artwork shows up in some songs and doesn't in others ( a little frustrating but not a huge deal IMO). The song name and artist displays all the time. Bluetooth streaming works as advertised. Bluetooth calling works great. Clear sound on my end and everyone hears me clearly. The only gripe about Bluetooth calling is that the contacts download without the addresses.
