So I took a min to put some features in a chart just so I could have a better way to view everything to make my decision easier.

The reason I have to choose is that my dealership has a Overland pn the way in the colors i want with all the options i want except the media center. I want the latest and greatest 730n RHR but this one had the 430n RHB. If I order one, which was my original plan, he says I wont get delivery till July if I want the 730n RHR.

Any additional info or any mitakes I made are appreciated and I will add to this chart and repost...my knowledge is very limited on this subject.

Thanks for such an awesome forum to learn and discuss these awesome vehicles.

Some of the features are incorrect, especially for the 430N. Check here for more detail: http://www.wk2jeeps.com/wk2_navigation.htm

Most notably, the section on iPod, Bluetooth streaming and hands free phone are wrong. The major difference between the two current radio's is the 730N has a dedicated iPod interface, it has voice activated navigation and a different type of Travel Link interface. The Harmon Nav also has dead reckoning and split screen where the Garmin based unit doesn't.

Nop....My Overland is in the "F" stage(Paint) and will be out next week w the RHR...;) BUT it cost 500$ more on the base price in Canada....

I checked our pending orders. We have 2 Summits due at our store around the end of February for stock. They both have the 25R package and the 430 Garmin NAV. New retail orders do not allow for the 730 at this time. It's "restricted" but that could be lifted at anytime.

My 730N RER is a definite NO for hands free text.

I decided to try this. No options at all for text messages. The revision of my 730N RER is 2.201.

When I press the Phone button icon, it shows no options for any sort of SMS messaging. Is this a later revision of the software that some of us might not have yet? (I know 2.402 is out but no online yet)

Here's a screencap of what information is available after I press the UConnect Phone button.

Here's a demo of Sirius Travel Link.

With Sirius traffic, it gives you real-time traffic conditions. The Travel Link has that plus weather, gas prices, movie listings, sports scores & schedules.
