Hello,

I have not used the MS-8 as of yet. However, from the information I was told, it best to installed it after the factory amp for 2 reasons. The first, to make sure all data going along the Hi-Speed Can bus is intact and second, the MS-8 can work the eq, crossover points, etc as it was designed for. I am still trying to confirm weather or not the first point is a must or an aftermarket adapter could work to eliminate the factory amp. You can use the internal amp on the MS-8, a combination of aftermarket amps and the internal amp or just pure aftermarket amps.

As of now I am still debating on which processor to get. Alpine is due soon, Rockford Fosgate will be out next year, the Audison bit one is still the premier one to get and of course their are others out there.

Get back to the MS-8, it will make a impact on the sound quality in JGC with the existing speakers. As always, if you change out the sub and front speakers, a dramatic difference will be heard.

Best for now.

Re: Ms-8

Thanks for the reply. I am considering the following:

Fronts: Morel Hybrid Ovation 6

Front amp: gt 2200 (or gt-24 if my dealers gives me a good price since it's in stock)

Rear Fill/Amp: Keep stock alpine speakers and amp

Sub: 12W6v2

Sub Amp: JL 500.1

HU: Stock

Proccesor: Either MS-8 or LC8i

Dynomat sound dampening.

Hi,

Morel does make excellent speakers, their high-end lines are outstanding.

For the rears, if you go with the MS-8 use the internal amp not the factory amp. You do not want the signal being processed to return to the factory amp where it will do it own processing again void any corrections by the MS-8. The 6 inch speaker in the rear door would have to be on separate channel as with 2.5 speakers in C pillar. Then you can set the crossover points for the rear. The MS-8 manual is easy to read and follow. Also, if you did not view JBL video, by all means do so.

With the Audio Control LC8I, you do not have to tie into those rear signals into the unit, keep them connect with factory amp.

The other thing I would consider regarding amps, I would look into Digital Amps. The draw less power which will better for the WK2. I have three Pioneer Stage 4 amps (all digital) waiting to go in. 2 PRS-D4200F & 1 PRS-D1200M.

Best for now.
