If they wanted to do that why wouldnt they just get your address by looking at your registration and insurance card in the glove compartment?

I have had my home address lost a few times now and I just checked my application software and it says 2.116. Is the newer 2.120 update something I can do myself or will I need to go to the stealership for this?

Its weird, my home addy got lost kind of consistantly within a few weeks of buying the Jeep, then I went a period where it didnt lose it for a couple weeks. Then all of a sudden it did it again and if I remember I think it lost it after I remote started the Jeep. Has anyone else pinned it down to a certain event that could have triggered it to erase?

Same here, although v2.120 doesn't always solve the separate problem of disappearing sat presets.

If nav home still disappears with v2.120, try having the software upgraded with the forthcoming 730N TSB (separate thread); it's to fix disappearing sat presets, but -- who knows -- it might also resolve the nav home issue.

I did it myself. Search this site and you will find information on how to download 2.120 update and how to install the update by USB or DISC. I installed the update by USB to my 730N RHR. I do not know what causes the addresses to be deleted. Mine got deleted about every week before the update to 2.120 and I never pushed any buttons on the key fob and never pushed driver memory buttons 1 or 2.

Or your Jeep dealer will do it -- gratis if you're under warranty.

Re: NAV Forgets Where Home Is

I updated the software to 2.120 and the problem hasn't occurred again! The update took about an hour and is easy to do.

Mind posting a link on how to download the latest software and how to install it. TIA.

I used the DVD method from the ISO.

Re: NAV Forgets Where Home Is

Just an update for those still having the memory and/or home address delete happen. Today yet again home was erased after remote starting the car. This is also the second time something goofy has happened after remote starting the car in that a weird function was engaged. The other week after remote starting the car my rear defroster was on for whatever reason. Today, my drivers side ventilated seat was on. Both happened during a remote start, and both times the home address was erased.

As far as I remember nothing weird has automatically gone on, and home address has never been erased any other occassion except when remote starting the vehicle.

Has anyone else been able to pinpoint exactly when these things happen similar to how I am isolating mine to when I occassionally remote start the car? P.S. it does not happen on every remote start, just once in a while.

James
