Nav options for 2013 JGC overland summit

Hi, i have a question for the group. I purchased a new 2013 JGC overland summit edition. The OEM is really disappointing, it looks about 5 years too old. I guess it's the first additon Uconnect.

Question to the group, are their aftermarket options to upgrade this nav/sat radio system that someone would recommend??

thanks for your time in advance

There are several aftermarket dual din (same size as OE) Nav options... Kenwood and Alpine both have units that will work.. They may not work as seamlessly well as the OE but they can be properly integrated (steering wheel controls, light match dimming, uconnecct mic in mirror ect) if a professional installer does the work. It will cause a loss of communication DTC in the vehicle but that will not effect much, also if you have the amp'd oem system you may need an additional audio module to power up the factory amps... ANYTHING can be done to an audio system.. its just how well you want it to work and how much you want to spend! LOL...

If you are looking to sell your OEM Nav unit.. I may be interested.. I'm "in the Jeep business" and have access to just about anything a Jeep owner could desire.. also aftermarket equipment too... PM me if you need help..

Take care
PB

The new Jeep GC has a completely redesigned electronic architecture.

The new 8.4 unit will not function in any older models AFAIK
