NAV volume questions

In my Overland with the 430N the GPS voice is a little above half volume every time I restart the vehicle. The only way I've found to adjust it is to turn the volume knob or use the volume control on the steering wheel while the GPS is speaking its directions. Once it stops speaking, the volume controls revert to controlling the radio and I have to wait until it starts speaking the directions for the next turn before I can continue to adjust it. Is there a way to adjust the GPS voice volume while it's not actually speaking? Also, how can I get it to save the volume setting once I change it?

Re: NAV volume questions

It should save it, mine does. Also on my 730N there is a button that repeats the last NAV command. Hit that and adjust the vol and hit again if needed.

Re: NAV volume questions

As soon as I read your reply it hit me. Save the driver memory settings and it should save the NAV volume along with the rest.

How do you do that?

Re: NAV volume questions

There's also a separate volume setting for the GPS command on the 730 RHR. My music and phone were blasting, but the direction lady was mumbling until I found this volume. I'll double check how I found it, but it was somewhere in NAV settings, then GPS command settings... It was a big volume control slider.

Re: NAV volume questions

The volume problem I have is with U-connect. The phone volume is so low and when adjusted and saved at a good level, the U-connect voice is too high.
