Just got back from a 30 minute ride, and no reboot. However I tried to remote start it from my phone with the app., and it came up, "No can do, please try again later". So I wonder if they fixed the Nav System, and FUBAR'd the remote start app. in the process? Electronics, it's not just an option.... It's an adventure.

Whatever was causing the software bug to show itself has stopped. .... for now ... (likely it's in all the versions mentioned in the reports over the past few days ... e.g. current Uconnect 8.4xx software)

Clearly the Uconnect software wasn't changed from what was on your cars last time software was loaded, whether it was ver 15.06.01 or 15.26.01 or 15.17.05 or 14.xx.xx. We also need to realize that, besides the GPS-satellite-timing data received, there's a myriad of info coming in to the system (from cellular or other satellite sources) and something coming in caused this "blank-scree-activiate" thing to show up. I doubt whether all the data on roads, POI's, interchanges, speed limits, etc... are part of the software loaded from USB stick.... some of it likely comes via other sources and Uconnect/Jeep/Chrysler/FCA does not make that info public.

To assume the problem is fixed is quite a stretch... the best we know is that 'something' external changed; I say external since the software load in the box is the same today (for most of us) as it was a week ago before this fiasco started and for most of us the problem showed up around the 29-30th of Aug. and stopped around 1st-2nd Sept.

Have had 15.06.1 for 3 weeks, dealer installed, and none of the issues discussed here. Only renewed the Sirius radio portion when the freebie's expired, but am receiving them with the freebie going on until the 8th. NAV has not rebooted, when in use, but I rarely use it; did not update to latest map version.

Same here. I took my Jeep into a dealer for an oil change, and he performed a radio security recall. I had previously done my own update with a USB stick and the system worked fine. Starting 8/30, the nav system became useless with constant globe symbol and text saying Navigation is being activated. Eventually the directions part of the system locked up. I could still see the car moving on the screen, but I couldn't operate any other functions. The Time to turns and time to destination were locked. It would restart if I stopped the ignition and restarted the engine. But it went back to the same old problem again. will try the soft boot and see if that solves the problem.

I had same symptoms you describe from 8/30 thru 9/1. Most on the forum report the problem going away on or after Sept 2. Are you still having problem after that date? What Nav version is installed?

As of last night the problem seems resolved. I used the nav for a 20 minute drive--long enough that it would have acted up-- and it seemed to be performing normally. Thanks for the reply. Saved me a trip to the dealer.

Drove it again today, and navigation is fine. But the remote start phone app. wasn't working again. Same deal as last time. "Request cannot be accepted, please try again later". Has anyone else had issues with the remote start phone app. not working over the last 3 days?

Many are reporting the problem, or at least the symptoms, have gone away. Do you have the latest Nav update? check online at: Uconnect® Software Update - Update your Uconnect® System

It was born July 3rd, but I checked it anyway when all this started (Aug 30 for us). Yes, it has the latest version. The screen didn't go black driving into town-13 miles. Hopefully it just needed to go through some sort of reinitialization after the problem was resolved.
Thanks to this board, we're not getting too frustrated over these little things as we get used to all the new technology in our new ride.

I am still having the problem. The system could not calculate the route , then it showed "navigation is being activated"

I suggest you report this to the dealer, or to FCA, as you may have discovered a flaw in the software version you have. Or, you could try to do a re-install of the software downloadable from the FCA website referenced earlier.
