So, just got off the phone with uconnect. .they say this slapped them in the face this morning as all brands have this going on. ..they say it has something to do with goggle servers and they are working on it.
Side note# I do not like this more. ..googled gps google servers and they do provide gps for us...they are also tracking us

Same thing started happening to me on a 450 mile trip home yesterday - rebooted every few minutes. I did a hard reset on my Uconnect system; had no effect on the issue - continued doing it after the system re-initialized. I know it's not related to the 15.26.1 firmware update, as I did that many weeks ago with no hiccups. If Google is tracking us, guess I'll make a tinfoil hat for my Uconnect system to match the one I wear while I'm driving. You'd think they'd quit screwing with our Uconnects in exchange for snooping on us.

Well I went out at lunch time and did the "soft reboot" Did not help. just as many restarts as before. I was on phone with Uconnect, but had to get back into work. They said to call Uconnect, and go to Vehicle Care. Maybe the more that call the faster a fix will come out..

Same problem here. Started 8/30/15 reboots every 4 minutes or so. Getting ready to leave on a trip in a couple weeks hope it gets fixed! Just in case I am packing my NUVI GPS as a backup!

I went ahead and called Uconnect and they wanted to set me up with an appointment at the Dealer just incase it did not resolve itself. I told her I have an appointment already for Thursday. It appears they are not 100% sure what the problem is so I sugguest everyone call the Uconnect support line and light up their phone banks!1-877-855-8400

Dunno if I buy this. IIRC my 8.4AN will navigate even in places where there is zero cell service.. without cell service there is no way for the unit to talk to Google.

So, they were able to get the software refreshed and on my way home, it happened three times, so I call Joe in AutoNation, which is a nice guy to work with, he is setting an appointment to further take a look Thursday morning.

The map is storing into the unit. It should work without Internet connection.

Given the nature of this problem (how suddenly it began and how pervasive it is across all Chrysler model lines), I doubt any dealer will be able to help any of us - it appears to be solely on Uconnect's end. I'm therefore not visiting my dealer about this, and probably won't be calling Uconnect either. To do so would be like calling my electric utility provider at the beginning of a major power outage that happened during a bad storm - they know the power's out across town and are already working on it; my calling to advise them of it won't speed them up in restoring the power.

The person I spoke to did not act like they had a huge problem or she would not have offered to set me an appointment at the dealership (and she was level 2). If nobody calls from your neighborhood you might sit in the dark for a long time.
