Not if I communicate with my neighbors and they told me they have already called - in this case, you're my neighbor. All it takes is one to notify Uconnect that they've got a problem - mission accomplished. Imagine how on top of things Uconnect would be if they just assigned one rep to monitor this forum!

Did it work? I'm having the same problem

Excellent Idea!
Folks can also just hit that "Assist" button on your rearview mirror to be patched into UConnect support.

And for those asking...

1. There is almost certainly nothing any dealership can do to fix this. Given the nature and symptoms, the problem is coming OUT of the UConnect/GPS system & is not a vehicle system issue.

2. Neither a Hard or a Soft reset seems to clear or correct this problem.

Interestingly, I called UConnect on the way to lunch today via the "Assist" button & spoke to a rep and reported the issue. She did mention receiving several UConnect/GPS related complaints today.

Strangely I didn't have the system reboot on the way back from lunch. On the way to lunch it did it at least once.

Re: Navigation is being activated

I had the same problem yesterday as well. I was originally thinking that something might have gotten corrupted as some people had this problem right after they upgraded to the current firmware.

However, since so many people are experiencing the same issue it sounds like a bug. Perhaps a date/time bug. I'm curious as to whether it goes away tomorrow, Sept 1st.

Re: Navigation is being activated

I called and bitched about it. I was told there is a procedure to get rid of the problem but I will try nevertheless. The lady knew about the problem, stated that "since Saturday calls have been coming in", that "something went wrong with their satellites" and that "the procedure is sure to fix the problem". She spoke with authority so I guess I better have the phone charger cable in the car as I can always run NAVI off the phone.

1) Have the engine running
2) Ensure all doors are closed
3) Hold the PHONE and the VR buttons on the steering wheel pressed for 30 seconds
4) Turn the vehicle off
5) Open Driver's side door for 30 seconds
6) Close the door
7) Restart engine

Since the Spousal Unit is commandeering the vehicle (without navigation she might be back by midnight, after I go rescue her first), I cannot try this right now. But I have doubts this procedure would work.

Same issue here, and maybe a related one? My iPhone won't let me log on to Uconnect Access app. Says "unable to retrieve user information at this time..."

I guess everything started going downhill when my Ashley Madison account was hacked.

They told me to put 6 fried chicken wings into a brown paper bag, tie it to a rope and when the full moon hits, swing it high over my head and howl like a coyote
