Had Jeep standardized on Garmin GPS's for the last 4 years, we might have had better service and better quality. Further, we wouldn't suffer the poor routing due to "unverified data".
This a very good issue you brought up and sad to say at the Audio Division of Chrysler, they are alway missing the point about technology. In the last few years I have never been happy with the in-dash GPS systems from OEM or the aftermarket. Chevy is continually working on their GPS systems by integrating the smartphone app into in-dash units to get the latest software and maps. Both IGO Primo and Garmin are into new informat systems for the OEM market to use the smartphone as well, just like GM.
At the present time, for those who have the uConnect units that are intergratged with all the car controls, their is not much you can do to correct this situation.
Best for now and happy holidays.
