i just ran some 4 guage with a big ass ring terminal crimped and soldered . i didnt feel like changing the end of the factory cable and regretted it. while the "idea" with the factory connector seemed cool compared to the older cars i had, it was problematic with minimal rotational room and then the connection stud cross threaded which then broke free and spun when trying to unscrew the nut (fully my fault) which i had to hammer out and put in a bolt.
i personally think it would be a good idea to change the battery clamp to something else more durable for future mods. however with battery pushed so far forward it would be a good idea to measure the space on top and what area there is for cable placement depending on wire size. all that room but it still feels tight in there after you connect the wiring and slide it back into place to lock it down.
