New hybrid aftermarket / OEM navigation for 2014+ Uconnect 8.4

Just as the title says it, here's a new hybrid solution for adding navigation to your 8.4 inc UCONNECT system. This one seems to be geared for Australians but interestingly enough, if the navigation is better and would add features such as speed cameras, it might just be worth for consideration. I do not have any experience with iGO maps and navi software but it appears to have clean looking maps.

I am not entirely sure at this point what this system does, but it seems to be dependent on the OEM UCONNECT 8.4 A (without navigation) to which it adds navigation.

Re: New hybrid aftermarket / OEM navigation for 2014+ Uconnect 8.4

Greetings,

IGO Primo is used in many of the Alpine, Pioneer and other aftermarket headunits. They are also starting to appear in some OE vehicles. Their main database right now uses the H.E.R.E. maps just as the Uconnect system. The maps are updated through their portal system, naviextras.com.

Sometimes I use their smartphone app which is very similar to the fix systems. The map updates that I have experienced on the app are about 10 months between. Routing is about average, the POI are pretty descent.

I believe their is 2 other systems here in the states that work in conjunction with a lockpick system. One is for the 5" RA2 radio and the other is for the 8.4. I have to look into them to track them down. It has been a while.

Best for now.
