Ok, thanks.. I tried extracting it with winrar and also tried another USB stick and it still won't start loading the roll back.

What does this new update include? Are we referring to lock pick or rax jailbreak?

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I asked Customtronix if they would be making 15.26.1 available, and they asked me for the link which I sent. They said it would be 1 - 4 weeks for their update.
Thanks,
Russell

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

So I decided to grab the bronze customtronix. I have to be able to input addresses on the fly. I try to use my phone, the wife gives me that look that she's got it cause she's the co-pilot. So I let her navigate with her phone, then she starts taking calls and I miss turns lol.
So she can be co-pilot. Just her duties change to looking up the address and punching it in the uConnect on the go!

I'm a bit confused by the differences between the Bronze and Silver packages. Yes, I understand the Silver includes a cable and the front camera while the Bronze does not.

But the Bronze says you will lose the GPS Maps. (Certainly don't want that!) While the Silver says you will have GPS Maps if you have the Nav package fro the factory. Just confirming - is there really a difference in the software between Bronze and Silver? That seems weird if so ...

to help you to understand the wording ... (Lockout disable (only software needed) will let you search addresses in motion ( if you already have navigation activated), but it will not give maps (NO GPS). - bronze and silver )

what he is stating is that the patches will not unlock or install the navigation IF your vehicle is not so equipped with the mapping and gps system. You are correct on the cable and the camera coming with the silver and NOT with the bronze but the bronze will do what your expectation to be able to change the navigation as you are in motion.

Jailbreak does not add GPS or map to your radio. If you have a navigation radio the maps will still be there after adding Jailbreak.

I do believe that if you have the 8.4A radio with navigation added, you will have to reactivate the activation after installing the software. This means you will need the code to do so and you should have it or be able to get it from your dealer. This isn't a problem with the 8.4AN.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I just ordered and installed the bronze version. Kinda freaked out a bit when my apps were replaced by a settings icon. After a few minutes and a power cycle the Uconnect linked back up and apps are back. However, I can't type addresses while in motion. That's the only freakin' point of the bronze package and mine doesn't work. Email sent to Customtronix, hopefully they can help find my issue.

Pretty sure the install was not done successfully. Try to re-install and make sure the token was extracted unto usb with software.

Thanks, but the token was in the token folder and it went through the entire install and checked all 10 modules and booted up afterwards. I don't remember the option being installed so I tried to install again.

Up popped the optional install window, and it is all good after a reboot. Thanks!
