If you download the current software from the Uconnect site it doesn't recognize and load? Are you giving it enough time to recognize the usb? When we originally got the apps added with a uconnect update, it took a lot of people several hours to a day before there apps started to come up. I remember this very vividly.
Yeah, not sure why it's not working correctly. Using the latest SW from uconnect site no longer works. I've restarted with the stick inserted and it's like nothing is there. I didn't time it, but I let it sit for quite a while after uconnect finished loading, but nothing. I even recreated the stick and tried again...nothing. I've reinstalled using the Customtronix stick, no change.

I'll give them a chance to straighten this out, but nothing I've tried works at this point. I haven't given up yet, but don't know what else to try.

Is this the only way to be able to watch a movie on the 5.4 screen?

Thanks

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

REALLY starting to question my decision to buy this software. Tech support is slow to respond. I emailed them via the web yesterday, received a response to which I immediately replied. I've heard nothing since. I have a Jeep that I cannot change any settings on because I more than likely will have to do more hard resets which clears them out. I want this damn thing fixed or removed and right now I can't do either.

I tried again last night to get the uconnect software to load. It won't. The radio acts like the uconnect stick has music on it. If the radio is on when I put it in, light flashes on the USB, radio goes out and screen says something like "unplayable". And yes, the iso is the ONLY file on the stick. When I put the Customtronix stick it it immediately loads and goes to the installation screens. So I'm stuck with the Customtronix software with no way to go back to stock and poor response from Customtronix.

Not like I haven't done this before either. I had to update the software when I first bought the Jeep.

Not happy.

Has anyone besides the maker (Customtronix) been able to load and use this "software" lockpick successfully?

Yes. Using silver with no issues.

The only reason I bought this software was to get the Nav lockout removed the software works perfectly for that. Personally I could care less about the SRT app and will probably uninstall anyway. I am sure it will be a red flag if ever taken into the dealer, because once you start the car the nav lights up all in red "SRT". Yes my Pandora Iheartradio and slacker radio apps have disappeared but they still all work through Bluetooth, all other apps work fine including all Uconnect options via smartphone. I feel for Zhe Wiz it sucks spending $200 bucks and not being able to get a quick answer from Tech support. I still believe as I said before the issue lies in the different versions of Uconnect software meaning what apps are pre installed at the factory for vehicles in the USA and Sweden

One note @rtcockrill and myself have SRT vehicles... My thought is that something is messing up when trying to add the SRT feature to non-srt vehicles.

It's obvious in those non-srt versions they are manipulating the apps possibly with apps other than the US apps.

Also I think they should be able to provide a custom package without the srt apps if requested. Would be nice...

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Well they did respond this morning. But no solution yet. They suggested that if I removed the SRT app that things would go back to "normal". I know that's not true because I had ALREADY removed the SRT App AND the speed lockout app, tried one, both the other and neither. No matter what I do the symptoms are the same. uconnect registration app won't open, uconnect store won't open, Pandora gone, iheart gone, slacker gone.

They DID admit they have a problem and are working on a fix, but that's all I know right now. I guess I may as well reinstall the speed lockout portion and start putting my settings back in. Looks like it's going to be a while before it is solved.

CLSTech has an SRT, and based on Customtronix response that this is an SRT app issue (though that's not completely the problem) that may be why it has worked for him. [Didn't see rt's and CLS's last response before I wrote this. Looks like we agree, and even more evidence to support the theory now. Curious to see if any non-SRT's have had success with this in N.A.]

To be clear, the speed lockout and SRT app do work after install and hard reset. Unfortunately it killed some of the stock functionality, which isn't what I thought I was paying for! Hopefully they work this out, but I'm sorta stuck in limbo until they do.

Any explanation on why you cannot go back to stock?

No, none. Very little information flowing in this direction.

I'm up and running fine but if I cannot go back to stock as easily as they say I will have some concerns.
