Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I am subscribing here and, since Magnus asked I'm proposing another feature. He mentioned earlier that you do have access to the touch screen in Nav. I'm wondering if it's possible to add a USB interface for the touch screen that would hijack the Nav. Something like the Mimic (Multitouch external touchscreen control of you Android device.) could then be used to control an Android device.

This would take the Miracast/Chromecast one step further and allow for full Android access from the touch screen. The reach here is in adding a USB connection to the harness that is actually able to control the touchscreen.

Other than that, I can't wait for the NA re-release!

This looks awesome. I wonder what the latency is between the screen and device.

Thumbs up Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Time for my latest update here on the development of the NA/USA version of the software.

I have been running the latest lockpick version 14_25_5015 for some days now and it is one of the most solid and amazing updates that I have yet seen.

They have changed some of the operations of the camera controls of the front and the back cameras to make parking much easier.

The front cam will turn on as you start down the road till you reach approx. 11 mph then will turn off unless you force it back on manually. The cool thing is that when you start to slowing down again to approx. the 11 mph back on comes the front cam

Magnus tells me that now since we have tested and have this version active in the USA he is planning new prices and packages for all members here at Jeep Garage in we hope in the coming week.

The only option that is not functioning is the SRT gauges options in NON SRT JGC but the way that I look at that is I can live without that for the other features that we are gaining.

Can not wait for the rest of you to get he benefits that I have been enjoying since I installed this system and loving it.

Keep your eyes and ears open for the near future I am sure you will be happy.

None at this time I think they was working on getting us functioning first with the needed software.

Since the cellular uconnnect is not available over there it was throwing them a curve some at trying to override and update things.

But the development side is his area so maybe he can shed some light on it soon.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I just installed the front camera for the RAX Jailbreak on my JGC too. First impression? VERY cool! I love it! More later (pix?) when I get a chance, possibly tonight.

That's cool. But with the regular hardware Lockpick, I feel that the 5-7 mph limit they have is just right. At whatever speed the car can reach when taking the foot off the brake and NOT pressing the throttle, I have the front cam. Any faster and it disappears. In fact, I have to dip under that speed for 1-2 seconds before the front cam turns on.

Wish there was a no compromise solution to viewing the rear camera even above 14 mph. That would be perfect for towing and other situation

On the cams the front and the cargo cam can be turned on at any time at any speed and alternated between by only pressing the back button

So that makes it nice for the monitoring of a trailer while in motion but it can not use the factory cam at this time at the higher speeds
