Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

CTXSWE I am an early purchaser of the broze package with the SRT App and cannot uninstall the software back to stock. Any idea when a fix will be available? I am having problems with my uconnect and dont want to bring it in to the dealer with this software version because im sure they will blame me for the problems. Thanks

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Magnus, - I am in Canada with a Canadian JGC Overland with the latest UConnect software (14.25.5). No issues for us here in ordering the US version? I'm assuming that the shipping charges for the Silver version with camera may be a bit different?

- Just answered my own question.

Went through the order process, and it is very clear there that the Canadian Radio code is listed. Also for the benefit of any other Canadians reading this, that it appears from the ordering notes that the SRT functions will be in place for Canadian radios (unless I'm mistaken, - I'm sure Magnus will correct me) . I'm assuming this is because we do not have the uConnect subscription functionality in Canada?

Thank-You once again to Magnus and all of the Jeep Garage members that assisted in making this great deal available to us.

I can put a "read me" note where it says "watch the Installation video".
If we sent you documentation you wouldnīt have looked at it either.

So stop being a bitch when you are the one that screwed up! Im not saying that we are perfect in anyway and we will do mistakes.

You are one of those people that makes me want to do like a filter, people need to go through some one of the Beta testers or the other cool guys here at the forum to get classified "NOT retarded" to even be able to buy from us.
I hope you didnīt receive the package yet! If I can I will stop it and refund you.
If you guys weren't so rude I never would have posted in the first place. I've been in IT for over 15 years and if I ever delivered a product with such a poor process and communication, I would have been fired. I'd be happy to address each issue I listed above one by one, but I'm sure no one here wants to hear it. I'll gladly accept a full refund and we can part ways.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Funny I have communicated with CTXSWE/Magnus a number of times during the last week, with both concerns I had regarding the product and once the
I placed a order they needed extra information on my system.

Even with the time difference I found his response time very quick. questions answered and concerns put to rest

I personally look forward to receiving the product and installing it

So although I am yet to receive and test the product therefore can not comment on it at this stage, but have found CTXSWE/Magnus very polite, patient and helpful.
For which I cant thank him enough

Magnus' bedside manner is hmmm, how shall we say it...a little lacking. I was pissed at him at first too. He's not patient, but he really does care, he takes criticism against his software personally, and frankly I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm a software developer too, and I know how he feels! It's very difficult to listen to criticism on something you worked so hard to accomplish. People don't see all the little details you DID do, they just notice the things you DIDN'T do, or didn't do right according to them. As a developer, if you care, it's hard NOT to take that personally.

So I understand if you don't want to work with him, but please know that his response is because he loves his software and is trying to make it better. He cares what people think and he does listen, though it may not seem so at first. So please, if you like the product, give it another chance. If you can't work with Magnus, then try me or IMBlackedOut. I'd hate to see you settle for something else because of a personality conflict.

Magnus reminds me of a guy I used to work with a lot when I was drag racing my Eclipse - David Buschur of Buschur Racing. Dude really knows his stuff, but he rubs some people the wrong way. They're both great at what they do though!

You also have to remember there are some language issues too. Not all of the problem is due to language, I agree, but please keep that in mind.

You need the "rollback" software for your version of Uconnect. Email Magnus and he should be able to send you a link. Pretty easy once you get that.

Yes. Black to ground, red to ACC power (you want power when in ACC or RUN, but not when Jeep is off). I connected black to a bolt just in front of the fuse block on the passenger side of the engine bay. I connected red to the fuse for the rear 12V outlet. I moved that fuse from the "only on with ACC" side to the "always on" side and used the "Only on with ACC" to power the front camera. Not a good permanent solution, but sufficient until we have better wiring diagrams for this Jeep beast.

This maybe "placebo effect" but after installing the RAX JB it seems my uconnect starts faster now and so does "handsfree" and BT phone connection.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I would like to say that as an IT/Network technician for more than 15 years I myself have had to eat a lot of crap form people that get pissed off because things don't work are do like they want it too. I can tell you this much that I have learned though the years dealing with pissed off people. You can never please some people, no matter what you do for them. With that said I myself had some problems with the Customtronix after my order was placed and shipped. I never got my token info, but I worked behind the scenes with Tony on our forum with the problem so he could work with Customtronix to help me get the issue resolved. I didn't get on our forum and start talking bad about Customtronix and the product. It took Tony and Customtronix less than a day to get everything resolved and I could not be happier with the RAX-Jailbreaker. I think it is by far the best product on the market. I had the Lockpick installed for several months and let me tell you, the RAX-Jailbreaker is a beast compared to the Lockpick. The guys at Customtronix have a great product and I look forward to working with them and using there product in my Jeep. Please don't sell yourself short over little issues, because you will be losing a great product that I know you would really enjoy in your Jeep.
