Normally for us in the NA region it should and maybe before or close to the time it is released from the Uconnect to us.

The European market gets the newer versions before we do so it allows Customtronix a few days in advance to do the mods for us and then to compare it to our NA verson in the future they plan to have a site up that will be faster for the downloads also, so as time goes on things will be better as we are seeing now

A little update on my side:

I got the camera and harness on Friday; thank you for the quick turnaround!

I just finished installing it on my truck, it took me around 1h30 including 1h to get the wiring from the radio to the camera.

I went thru an existing grommet on passenger side. I took my switched 12v from the cigarette lighter in media stack.

Here's what it looks like:

Thank you everyone for the support online and thank you CLStech for the great lockpick!

I think it makes a little little little bit of sense. It shows bumper clearance. I too would have liked to see the bumper line but more forward as well...

Those of us who mounted high can have it both ways: angled down to show the bumper while providing ample view ahead and to the side of the vehicle. That's why I am asking...because he did mount it high...

I do not think I have a more recent front camera view picture, but at the bottom of the screen one can see my highway transponder (U-PASS; E-Z PASS or similar) mounted on the 2 upper license plate screws. I have since angled the camera a bit more so it shows the actual bumper.

I like your camera, because it has the red / yellow / green distance markings. I could not find something like that when I bought mine. Do you mind sharing the brand and model ? Thanks.

Where have you mounted yours? Can't see it on the exterior picture.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I have a question for you beta tester (heavy users of the front cam feature). Once you put it in drive and the Fcam comes on, it goes off after you reach a certain speed. How do you bring it back on once you are under the cutoff speed, I mean I would like to be pulling into a spot or tight entry and want ot turn the fcam back on. Or is this not possible unless you shift from drive and then back into drive?

I know there is now an option to have the cam come on automatically when under a certain speed but I do not see that very appealing. I just want to be able to mannually turn it on when needed and of course under the speed cutoff not while I am on the highway.

Go to the cargo cam, then use the Back button to cycle through all of the video inputs.

I don't plan on using a front cam, is it going to try to switch inputs when I start to drive? I mainly want the jail break/ harness to stream video and have the unlock. Just waiting for "pay now" email.

You can choose not to enable that feature when you install the software.
