Is the rollback different from the uninstall option that comes with the software?

I was under the impression only the beta version required additional software in order to uninstall.

Yes. The uninstall removes the extra features, but leaves the Customtronix base software installed. Not a big deal except that you cannot install a standard uconnect update over it. You have to roll back, which puts the stock software back on and completely removes the customtronix base.

Not true. All versions require the roll back to get back to stock software. Beta/non-beta doesn't matter.

Guess I need to request the rollback from Customtronix as my dealer wants to update my radio every time I go in and they don't care that the software on it is newer than what they are updating with.

The problem is that they seem to do everything else pretty well.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Guys I need help. Just tried installing my jailbreak and the normal screen came up asking if I wanted to update and I did. Then it reboot and went to a system check and then said "insert coin for vin number (my vin). Please remove USB stick to reboot. What's going wrong here? When I remove the stick it reboots and nothing works. Then it recognizes the stick again and does the same thing. I did notice I was using an older version that what it was asking me to update to. Is this the problem? If so how do I update before jailbreaking?
