as you can see many times it does not take much to create issues on installations so it is better to keep both as separate items.

the restore file is available if you ask Customtronixs for it or if you need it sooner leave me a pm for I do have a copy and will keep the JeepGarage members working along with Customtronixs so they can keep developing.

Thanks for the reply imblackedout. I e-mailed Customtronix and they very quickly sent me the rollback link. All good.

They are a great group of people and some of the hardest working and devoted to the service they provide.

We just have to remember we are not the only ones in this world and they are servicing a large area so things will still get better.

Keep up the good work guys....

Everyone that is getting the rollback jist remember that if you are just taking the car in for a quick lube or a rotation or something minor

YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO A FULL ROLLBACK

The only thing that i would do is to put your install back in and unistall like the front cam so that if they need to move the car it will not jump up on the screen for them.

Then after just insert the stick again reinstall the feature and your good to go faster then doing a full rollback and a full reinstall.

Just makes it a time saver this way

Hi Guys,
I have decided to jump on the bandwagon!!!
I had a stock ra2 which I replaced to ra4. So should I give my original vin# or the vin# of the radio???
I guess I have confused the folks at customtronix!!!

Good question ..... did you replace it or a dealer did? If a dealer fid it the can change the vin to match the cars vin.

If you did it then im guessing the vin in the radio is still the old one.

What they are wanting is what the radio says it is or thinks it is. For the tokens the make matches what the radio thinks the vin is.

How old are both and how long have you had it done? If it was not by a dealer and reprogrammed you may encounter problems later with the full workings of the jeep for it controls so much and all the computers must talk

I replaced it myself... And I haven't been to my dealer as yet. It's been couple of months since I got my jeep and I switched to the ra4 around 5 weeks ago. It has not been reprogrammed. I guess customtronix are going for the jeep's VIN #.
I'm really looking forward to the jailbreak and I primarily need it for the screen mirroring opportunity. I just got the link for payment!!!

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I have the coastaletech LOCKPICK CHR558 installed on my Jeep GC Summit 2014 (RG4 - Switzerland) but I am not so happy with it, my question is, can I install this Lockout Software (bronce or other) on my Uconnect with the coastaletech lockpick installed? What can I spect with this software?
Can I uninstall the coastaletech?

Regards.
Manuel

So many small issues can arise from not getting your VIN connected to the system. I would go the dealer and get it done, and makes sure its all good before adding another complication to the issue.

Finally got my front camera installed last night. Mounted in lower grill, just held in by friction of the honey comb grill. Found easy hole in firewall to run wires, cover pops off from inside of passenger side, cut slot in cover, run wires through cover, pop cover back on.ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1408624735.284045.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1408624756.272494.jpgImageUploadedByJeepGarage1408624768.322032.jpg

Looks good Jerry. Where is that firewall hole located from the inside? What do you have to remove to see it? Glove box?

Only remove foot cover under glove box and pull back the carpet. You do not have to remove glove box. Only 3 fasteners to pull down cover.
