I'll second that. The first time I tried to do a standard update it asked for the radio security code. Turned out that the dealer had replaced the radio from floor stock and hadn't connected it to the vin of my car, so I guess the radio thought it had been stolen! Took a while to get it sorted.

What I'd REALLY like, is to disable, or at least change, the speed at which the Quadralift drops from off road 1 to normal. It's really annoying that you can't do 80kph on a dirt road without the suspension lowering - just before you arrive at a river crossing. Is this something that a Uconnect hack could change.
Thanks,
Russell

Oh yeah Russell... I forgot how much that shit me when last belting around the bush.

I'd definitely even pay for that speed limit to be overridden!

Cheers,
Steve

EDIT: Nevermind, I found my answer here: DIY 2014 Grand Cherokee Front View Camera. Basically, just go through that grommet anyway.

EDIT2: Oh by the way, trying to access that hole without removing the glove box is a pain in the ass. When I try again I'm removing the glove box, it isn't that hard.

And if you remove the glove box, don't forget to install your LED light in there , I finally got around to it and now LEDs all around!

Great package and with the Jeep Garage discount its a pretty good deal

Hey mark_38 what jeep garage discounts do you guys get with the package? I'm thinking of getting the bronze for now as I have a rear DVD/ blue ray system that came with the car. Both screens in the headrest have video input aswell as hdmi can I use this if I get the bronze system or I have to step up to the silver for the video input. Basically I just want to show video thru the front screen not really use it for camera just yet. Also I have a 2014 gc srt in Australia.

No, he responded to my email yesterday and my account was all set and paid today with the forum discount. I'm sure he's just busy adding some more awesomeness to the jailbreak.

akajj3 discounts were discussed back on page 30ish, here is a quote from imblackedout

Normal prices on the site are
Bronze 149 Euro
Silver 199 Euro
Gold 549 Euro

To get the benefits of this you must register here on My Account | Customtronix

at the bottom make sure to choose forum and place (jeep garage) in the forum membership this is what will get you the JG special pricing. Normally in 24 hrs you will be approved for the special purchase rights and you will have to clear your cookies and log back into your account.

the pricing will be as follows:

Bronze 148 usd 108 euro includes the lock out and VES option if equipped from factory

Silver. 249 usd 179 euro includes the RAX-Jailbreak software and 1 harness and 1 camera

Gold. 449 usd 325 euro includes the lockout software and 1 harness and 2 cameras since the jeeps have different cargo/brake light it will not come with the brake light assembly as mentioned in the videos

the prices are in euro

I personally have the gold package and at current I only have the front camera mounted up and active but I would love to make the 2nd camera a true trailer/cargo cam so that I can view what is happening live behind me at higher speeds but just have not gotten the desire to tear into the back tailgate yet.

I hope that this will help in your choices.

Make sure that when you place your order you do include the needed details to complete and to design your custom order including the VIN and the options that you have.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Harness and cam arrived today, but my question:

on the CAM box is written, "Car Rear View Camera"
Color CCD/CMOS Camera
Parking referent Line
Easys Installation
Wide View Angle
High Definition
Night Vision

Did I get the wrong camera? or can this one be used as front cam?

Next question, I am still waiting for the software, can I install the harness and cam with the standard firmware, will it work until I get the customtronix firmware?

I have already a Rear Cam on my Jeep GC

Regards.

Manuel

Camera works fine, it doesn't flip the view so its OK as a front camera

No problem installing the harness before.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Now I have my harness installed but I am having problems getting the video cable to the engine department, I had no time this weekend so I will try next week again.
I am still waiting for the RAX-Jailbreak software and I was watching lots of videos, install, how it works etc, and I have a question.

I will use the front cam and I have connected an ipod to the cargo cam video imput (with a RCA adapter), will I have to install the cargo cam to get the AUX (video imput from Ipod) working?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Manuel
