Yeah I for sure want it to be easy to swap stuff out, my plan right now is to put the MX III in the little cubby hole at the bottom of the climate controls, I feel a cutout right there that will fit the cables and it will be right there for easy access to the usb cables.

That will work perfectly. That's where my prices are.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Does anyone know what actually happens if a dealer tries to do a Uconnect upgrade when the lockpick is installed? I don't mind if they try and fail, but I wouldn't like them to totally disable the radio in the attempt.
Doing the rollback would be time consuming, so I'd avoid it if possible.
Thanks,
Russell

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Can anyone tell me the default settings of the front cams?

I have just got around to powering mine up and it is showing Mirrored with Grid lines?

According to the Customtronix site

"The cams comes as real pictures with no guidelines.

However, if you cut the white cable to get Mirror picture + guidelines. After cutting the white cable there are no way back, step can not be undone. If you like a cargo cam (Mirror picture/no guidelines) please spec that in your order."

Now I havent cut any wires during the install, so it leaves me wondering whether the cam has been supplied mirrored with grid lines or if there is something I need to do to put it into a real image with no grid lines?

Do I need to cut the wire mentioned to make it a real image or do I need to start looking for a new camera?

Cheers

Mark

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

just tossing in ideas for other features for when time permits (hopefully the '15 gets polished off soon! )

memory for things that the vehicle forgets- eco setting seems to be a big complaint. I'd love for the nav volume to remember what i set it to. Also seems the temperature "sync" on setting frequently forgets.

I posted earlier how the durango losses the headrest fold button if you "add the cargo cam". So an alternate method to manually pull up the the front cam and/or the "cargo cam" would be great. Maybe Press and hold the back button- maybe some keypress combination on the steering wheel- anything would be nice.

one I'm on the fence about- a setting to turn on passenger heated seats too when you remote start and the drive seat comes on. But I think that one would need to be easy to toggle on and off. Sometimes I'd want it but most times not.

is it possible the loop is broken? I'm fairly sure mine came non-mirror and no lines and i just left it that way- no need to cut the loop.

Maybe best to email them for advice....

2015 remembers ECO Off setting.

Ive read other people say this too, but my 2015 does NOT remember ECO-off. Tried factory reset, too.

I don't have a 2015, but did you try setting ECO off while the engine is running and then saving your profile using the door buttons?

Got my jailbreaker installed and enjoying it.

When using the cargo cam RCA cables as a video source, are yalls screen a little distorted?...not really distorted but its noticeable during a black screen that it is a little swirly like some interference or something. (The reg video input like the radio part is still perfectly clear)
