Good news 2015 owners. I am downloading the RAX 2015 update now. I will install it tonight. Hopefully that means the rest of you 2015ers will be good to go soon!

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software
Just placed my order for the silver last night.

This morning checked and already got the download email. Super fast!!! Just downloaded the software to my USB. I'm eager to go and install now! But i'm still waiting on the harness and camera. So now I have a few questions:

1)Can i install the JB now even if i don't have the harness yet and would I have any issues?

2)If i can install now, what exactly would i be able to use/see since i still don't have the harness.

So i think someone eventually sent Magnus the bag of crack! hahahaha. Superfast!

So it works. I am running the release candidate, and have the Blu-ray RES which is nice. There is a small bug but not that big of a deal. So hopefully it will be released soon.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

So i installed the token today during lunch. Didnt really test it out until i was driving home.

Works as advertised. Installed the front and cargo cam features along with lockout. Rev cam feature is awesome.

So on the way home i noticed the front cam feature kept coming on(blue) screen since im waiting on harness and actual cam. I was in stop and go traffic for about an hr and a half. Liked it at first but hated it by the time i got home. Maybe cause i still dont have the cam.

One suggestion would be to be able to pick and choose the rev cam over the front cam feature. Maybe in the future? Also i still have mixed feelings bout the 10-11mph and the front cam goes on. Idk but for me i think 15-18mph would be a better option. Just saying.

So by the time i got home and waited for my wife and daughter to get home i decided to go back in, through usb in and uninstall the front cam feature. I noticed i got asked 2 questions pertaining to the front cam. 1 was the front cam feature and 2nd was the option to uninstall the front cam at low speeds. Maybe i missed something but i think for now the low speed front cam option would be good to remove temporary til i receive and install the front cam.

Overall i am very excited, pleased with the features and cant wait to get harness. Sometime this Thurs it should be arriving.

Great Job Magnus. Also can you come up with feature to change background pic. During install i saw something bout Skins?

Turns out it is actually not a bug, but a minor limitation with how the rear entertainment system is programmed. Ultimately though, it doesn't effect the lockout, just how movies are viewed while moving. But it works and it is great.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Oh yea, since i so this previous poste ^^^

So say i eventually keep the front cam option and low speeds option on and when i hook up my video source and am currently playing a movie or so will the front cam feature keep going in and out? I think this would sux for the passengers watching movie when i come to speeds lower than 11mph. How would it play once i exceed the 11mph would it go back to audio menu and would i have to force the cargo cam/video source option to go back into the movie?

So i asked these same questions to Magnus earlier this afternoon and got quick responses. Also mentioned as for the 2013/2014's, they will wait and see what the next uconnect update is and if some of the suggestions we have asked are not there they will sure do something to update them.

Damn you 2015's.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I received my harness and camara today. I just finished installing harness only. After about an hr of working in minimal light i was able to clip on the harness to radio head. I tested my ipad and av cable and was only able to get sound and no video. I was trying youtube. I was about to give up and try later this weekend but decided to try my plex app. I quickly noticed movie began playing.

Must admit install was very easy as long as ur doing it correctly. Cant wait to mess with it tomorrow.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that the video/audio feed input cables seem a bit short? Are they not supposed to reach the cubby? That is where i have my ipod. I made it work but i was expecting them a bit longer. ONce i install the front cam i will need to take of the trim again to get back in there.
