My dealer updates even when I tell them it has already been done.

For safety's sake, I would unload the RAX before taking it to the dealer.

Magnus sent me a link to download it. I don't think it's VIN specific. He usually gets back to you within a day or two.

Thx heaps for the reply - I feel more confident that you have been able to roll back on an Aussie JGC

Can I ask where you got the roll back file/link?

Also - did you install the new maps file?

Thanks again

Got the link from Magnus today. Already downloaded and should be ready to uninstall.

Excuse my ignorance but, should i uninstall RAX, then insert the rollback stick? or just insurt the roll back stick?

I will be having the recall work done when i go in for oil change soon.

I'm far from an expert on the RAX, but when I rolled back, I just inserted the rollback stick without uninstalling RAX.

Upon completion of the rollback, I had to load the latest version of the Uconnect software from the following site:

https://rsur.extra.chrysler.com/rsur/Uconnect.do

All worked well for me doing it this way. You might want to wait for one of the more informed members to confirm the procedure.

Yes, this is the procedure, at the end you should do a reset the ucconect to factory defaults.

I thought you weren't suppose to update uconnect on your own but wait for customtronix vrz to upload

We were talking about "what if" in the event of having to go to the dealer for service and wanted to rollback in advance.

I normally dont fully uninstall when i go in for oil changes and such i only deactivate the visual things like cargo cam option and they will not attempt an upgrade without asking me first if i do go in for major service then i roll back.

But i do keep the roll back stick in the glove box ready if needed.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I'm going in tomorrow and have them do the new tsb regarding the Eco mode setting remembering after shut off.

I will roll back prior to getting to the dealer.
