just to be clear- AND IF I UNDERSTAND- lol-

uninstalling the features still leaves the base RAX software installed which replaced the factory software.

Both the base RAX and factory software look the same to the end user (or a service tech just looking at it or the version numbers).

BUT the big difference is it we (or a dealer) tries to install an official update on top of the RAX software they will get error messages and the process will fail. Who knows what the service department will do at that point?

this is all described way back earlier in the thread. (the thread is getting kind of crazy- might be cool if there was a seperate forum for RAX so we could split these many different sub-topics....)

A "how to" detailing the different methods and the considerations for each would be appropriate.

Cheers,

For roll back- make sure on the us stick there is just the *.iso file and maybe some other descirpter and no *.rar file.
Aww ok ill give that a try.

1) Video quality on both the Nexus player and the front cam isn't spectacular. The cam is fairly blurry (can't read a license plate in front of the car, for example), and the Nexus Player text is hard to read. I've spent a lot of time reading about HDMI -> Composite conversation, and know not to have high expectations, but wonder if any of you did any kind of lowering default screen resolutions, etc to get it more readable? Are people generally getting front cam views as clear as the rear cam from what Customtronix sends? I'm seeing a pretty substantive difference so far.

2) I am not getting any sound input from the Nexus Player. I'm well aware of the need to have the stereo on AUX. When things are working sucessfully, does AUX show up as white (like there's a viable connection), or does it look greyed out even when successfully connected? Mine is grey, it says looking for connection, and I've tried refitting the cables a couple of times now with no change.

Thanks!
Just wanted to follow up and see if you were able to fix the audio issue. I'm having the same problem. AUX greyed out and no sound with video working.

Michaelk,

U are the man. Thats what it was. Needed to extract the file unto the usb. Performed roll back with no issues. And re-installed the RAX.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Does anyone know if the latest RAX software (14.47) can be used on the 2014 8.4 uconnect or is this update only for the 2015's?

Latest RAX 14.47 is out for the My15! Thereīs no update for MY13/My14 ( current 14.25)

Regarding the rollback! You donīt need a Token for a rollback! no need to uninstall any features. The Rollback will clean up the unit completely:-)
