I tried to install 14.47.1019 NA from Customtronix but it would not install on my 2014 GC 😢

I'd just like to say thanks to the guys at Customtronix for responding to my request for rollback software at short notice. I'm sure you're incredibly busy, so I very much appreciated your early attention.

Cheers,
Steve

Not to state the obvious, but the 2015 software is definitely not compatible with the 2014 models.

Just got a email that they now have a RAX DAB kit, ordering one next Friday, hopefully it will fix the crappy reception this thing has.

Keep you updated.

Put in a feature to pull up the cameras with a "shortcut" button. Seems some other similar products allow you to hold the back button for a few seconds for certain functions. Would be quicker than having to hit the controls tab then cargo cam button. Quickness aside, It's more important for Durango owners as we have to pick the option to install the cargo cam button OR keep our factory button for 3rd row headrest folding. (If we install the cargo cam it blows away our factory button for the remote headrests)
thanx ..added it to our list of fixes

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Regarding updates to MY13/14! I think we will see maybe one more update for MY13/14, but after that not anything in a long time.

The funny thing is that MY15 Uconnect has 100% same hardware! but they have changed more or less the whole core of the platform. I have 14.47 in our MY14 RAM and it seems to work fine except from the new type of media connector they have in the MY15, it doesnīt recognize MY14/13 media connector (USB/SD), in our case itīs no problem as we can make it to detect it.

NO! we will not give out the 14.47 to the MY13 and MY14 because we really
donīt know if thereīs more around the Uconnect that could have been changed.
It would be very irresponsible to do since we canīt be sure what may happen to the whole setup.

I know some cars may have problems with the 14.25 (current MY13/14) but I would say that itīs pretty good, at least for the Rams.
You should not be fooled by the firmware versions! just because 14.47 is a higher number doesnīt mean itīs better! the MY15 platform has been updated 3 times within 6 months and it still has many bugs that 14.25
doesnīt, so please donīt think that if you just had that new version all you problem would fade way.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Ok so after reading all the contents of this thread I've come to notice that most of the people who have the silver package are not using what i think it that simplest way you have a media player implemented into the Uconnect setup.

Most people are choosing to us devices that are hdmi out only (Apple tv / Chromecast / Nexus Player) therefore having to purchase a device to convert things to a composite format. Now i understand that most people would prefer to cast /airplay / or mirror things but i would rather give that up for a more streamlined experience.

The device that I'm talking about is the Roku 1/2. The Roku 1/2 still has inputs for composite video there for eliminating that need to convert and hdmi signal. You can have it set to 480p and fill the entire screen at the proper resolution. The Roku 1 is $50 and the Roku 2 is $70. The only difference between the two models is that on the Roku 2 you can use dual band wireless and there is a "remote with headphone jack for private listening". The only setbacks for these to players are that you are not able to mirror your phone and that the Netflix app doesn't have user profiles like newer media device are able to. This is something i am willing to give up for a platform that by far has that most applications to offer.

The other thing that i enjoy about the Roku is that i would be able to hide that device behind the head unit and not have to worry about line of sight with the remote like you have to on the Apple TV. I don't know what type of signal the Chromecast and Nexus Player use but I'm probably going to get that the Chromecast at least has an RF signal like the Roku do to it usually being out of site behind a tv.

This is just a suggestion for people who don't want to deal with having to have an abundance of add on or just want to keep this simple. Even as an Apple fan boy i would never pick the Apple tv over a Roku.

Now to the funny part after all this being said i don't even own a Jeep. Although i am hell bent on getting a diesel Summit by years end. Im currently waiting to see what minor changes are made to the interior for the MY16 hoping that they will at least change the electronic shifter as it stands now. If they don't then i'll just have to deal with getting a MY15. Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing. Can't wait until i get this all set up in whatever GC i end up getting. I hope this post is useful to someone though.

Regarding the rollback! You donīt need a Token for a rollback! no need to uninstall any features. The Rollback will clean up the unit completely:-)

Great news.

Is 14.47 available for us in Australia (EURW)? The version I had sent at time of purchase was 14.25 and Rollback version was to 14.22. (My 2015 Overland had version 14.29 stock).

Where do we get download link?

Thx
