Thanks Snuke. Given that they "unknowingly" upgraded the version, I'll check the media button operation to see if the TSB got applied too. If not I'll try to apply our "normal" 14.25.5 version, and take it back to the dealer. From what you say, the TSB fix should not disappear with a version upgrade, so I should be OK to re-install the lockpick version of 14.25.5.
A bit of a worry about the lockpick and the rollback though.
Russell

I don't see how any of this necessarily implies that it's not a Uconnect update? It's certainly not a WiTech flash...

I guess that would mean that it's a Uconnect update without a change in version number - which would be a bit strange, but that is what it looks like.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Judging by the behaviour of the media button, 14-089 has NOT been applied.
So it would seem that there can be a problem with using Lockpick, in that at least in some circumstances, the dealer can no longer apply Uconnect fixes. Moreover, the dealer can tell that the system is non-standard, even after the Rollback has been applied. On the other hand, no-one else on this forum seems to have had a similar problem, so it is possible that either I or the dealer did something wrong. I'll email Customtronix to see if they can help.
Thanks,
Russell

Hey Russell,

I'd be very keen to hear how you go....

They've provided me with the same rollback (14.22) for my 2015 Overland (which seems strange as the 2015 jailbreak software is a completely different version). I am fairly sure I am going to have the same problem as you had - so I am holding back from installing the software for now (especially with the bugs in the 2015 14.47 upgrade).

I have put some questions to them (re: rollback for 2015), maybe the Rest of World version hasn't yet had the focus that the NA version has.

I'm waiting for their response.

I have emailed Customtronix too. It does seem likely that the issue is related to the version of the rollback software, rather than the Lockpick per se. The solution maybe to upgrade to the latest ROW version after rolling back.thanks, Russell

One question, did you do a factory reset after the rollback?

Good point - no, I didn't do a factory reset. Now you mention it, I think I recall reading about that somewhere. It's not part of a normal upgrade process - but definitely worth a try. Thanks.

I'm wondering because I will have to take mine in in the next month or so for an oil change and Customer Service wants me to have the dealer look at the ACC/FCW issue again and contact Customer Service when they do. Sounds like they want to make a Star Case out of it.

When I hear back from Magnus, I'll let you know what he suggests. Being in the US, I'm sure you have different rollback software, so my issue may not apply to you anyway.

I'm sure if there is a problem, Magnus will do his best to fix it.

Russell this may be key to the problem.

I had installed the SRT stuff with my Customtronix. When I rolled back I noticed that the SRT splash screen and apps icon were still present. I quietly shit myself, as I was driving to the dealer service department at the time. Anyway, the little computer in my head reminded me that all good electronics like a nice reset now and again. I held down the two rotary push buttons, the Uconnect burped, then came back looking factory.

There's definitely something which remains in the works between a rollback and a subsequent reset. Rollback notes from Customtronix (???) need to incorporate this step.

Cheers,
Steve
