Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I came here on this topic of the Jailbreak from Customtronix. I have the Bronze and did install it on my 2015 Challenger SXT with 8.4AN radio.
The only thing it did was Speed issues.. So I can make changes as driving..
But.. I will be adding a backup camera to the car this week or next. Part on the way.
So I did the rollback using the software from Custom..
I'm on Challengertalk, but you have mre activity here.. reason why I came in.

My car being new had or has the 15.xx uConnect update. The rollback works, well kinda worked.
I did the soft resets and factory resets along the way but..
Even with the rollback and update after to 15.xx If I do a factory reset, I get the SRT screen during 1st boot with a control panel related to a European options. Heated seat , wheel etc but since it Euro, the location of Passenger and driver are switch.
So, if the dealer does a factory reset, they will see this..
This is what I'm trying to get rid of.. So has anyone done this in the US?

I had this happen too when I needed to take my truck in to the dealer. After I used the rollback provided I downloaded the actual update file from uconnect to fix this. I contacted Magnus about this and he sent me a different rollback link (maybe I had the wrong rollback the first time). I haven't tried the latest one he sent as I haven't needed it.

If you can, do a factory reset and see what comes up during the boot.. It means resetting it all up again.

After I did the rollback and then downloaded the "factory" update package I did do another factory reset and it didn't have the SRT splash screen on initial start up anymore.

To clarify a bit about "Reset to Factory Default" when you do this the first boot is going to be strange! like SRT logo and wrong radio frequencies on some units. This is all because the setup for the Navigation has not been stored so it goes by default settings and it could be pretty crazy settings and etc. So the SRT logo (splash) you get is what Chrysler has as default. Meaning even if you have a RAM or any none SRT vehicle you will still get that splash on the first reboot. When you do a power cycle it will pick up all the settings from the BCM and all will be back to normal again! This has nothing to do with our rollback or etc itīs how the system works.

Itīs very important that after the rollback is done you need to do a factory reset since the rollback doesnīt remove settings it just reprogram it back to oem software.

I hope that makes sense:-)

BTW we will release the new 15.06 (for 2015) pretty soon! we normally wait a month before we release ours, this is just a precaution for bugs that the new software could have, we donīt want to release the software that we know is good enough. For us to make a new version is very easy, itīs not like we have to invent the wheel again or hacking a Iphone.

We have also some pretty awesome stuff in the pipe:-))

Thank you all for supporting the JB!!!!

Hey guys and Girls!!

Some times I see post about not getting in touch with us as fast as you want:-)
We are in Sweden so time difference is minimum 6 hours (USA). Give us at least 12 hours to comeback to you!
We are also working with a new homepage that will make it easer to order and etc. We donīt accept payments before we have cleared all the info about your vehicle! thats why the payment system is a bit crippled.

We are working full time with these projects and we have spent thousands of hours of developing the JB. We will continue releasing new updates and constantly coming up with new stuff for the JB.

So if you get nervous you can call us or send me a email direct.
Compare us to many other companies (no one has anything like the jb period) we are pretty fast and doesnīt hide behind anonymous email addresses.

This has made much better.
So, factory reset will pull something stored in EEPROM and load that as default until the BCM communicates who it is hooked too.

Then I have basically did it correct. Please let H Hansson know you have explain it to me..
I did send him a link to my update stuff.. Feel free to use if needed.

And I will be anxiously waiting..

This makes me feel better..

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

Question for Magnus concerning factory reset.

I have the 8.4A and had the navigation activated when purchased.

I did the rollback and a factory reset and now I have completely lost the Navigation. The Nav button is no longer on the touchscreen.

This is on my 2014 Ram with the Bronze Package.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Hey Magnus,

You guys have been great. Keep it up. Typically all you see on forums is bashing... but that is just a vocal minority. Loving my JB.

Hey Magnus,

How do we get our hands on the upgraded version and the upgraded rollback (ROW).

Will you update your website?
