This is on my 2014 Ram with the Bronze Package.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Magnus is the man!!!

All I had to do was get my activation code from the dealer and enter it into my system and VIOLA Nav is back.

My issue had absolutely nothing to do with the customtronix, but Magnus went out of his way to help me. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to help us with our system.

A BIG thanks goes to Magnus.

Re: new lockpick for the 8,4 uconnect, 99% software

I'm going to buy the silver rax and install the pvt3000 and hdmi adapter so I can miracast...

My question is.....I want to make this a clean install so I would like to power if from behind the radio...is there any reason the ptv3000 and the hdmi adapter have to be accessible? Like to occasional reset them or anything like that? I'm hoping there's a free wire in the back that I can tap into and make a 12 volt cig plug, then put the duel usb in...that way it's all in the back with no exposed wires in front...thanks for any feedback...

CLStech could you tell me what hdmi to rca converter you are using? I've narrowed mine down to the converter being broken. I don't get any display at all. I bought another one similar but different model. The sound comes out but the video is garbled. I try the same setup on an old TV and got the same display so I know its not the rax.

I also have a Netgear push2tv 3000 and am able to miracast my phone or tablet to the Jeep without a problem so basically I've narrowed it down to the converter. I was hoping you could let me know what you use.

Thank you.

Just a random thought, but have you checked the cable that powers the converter? The mini USB? I have a similar one like that and that usb sucked. If i moved the converter in any way the power would go out of the converter because of the usb. Luckily, i had another one laying around and used that and its been working ever since.

Leaving the current discussion, but still remaining in the topic of the thread, the automotive industry is objecting to "fair use" exceptions to the modification of vehicle software. Though some might be interested in this:

I've gotten a screen like that whenever the HDMI cables gets loose/or unplugs from the converter. I then have to take off the darn head unit trim and plug it back in.

That sux. If that doesn't work then yeah i'd scrap that converter and get a new one.

***Edit
Just re-read your post, why not just use the push2tv? Or am i tripping and you need to converter for the push2tv too?
