Magnus, - I am in Canada with a Canadian JGC Overland with the latest UConnect software (14.25.5). No issues for us here in ordering the US version? I'm assuming that the shipping charges for the Silver version with camera may be a bit different?

- Just answered my own question.

Went through the order process, and it is very clear there that the Canadian Radio code is listed. Also for the benefit of any other Canadians reading this, that it appears from the ordering notes that the SRT functions will be in place for Canadian radios (unless I'm mistaken, - I'm sure Magnus will correct me) . I'm assuming this is because we do not have the uConnect subscription functionality in Canada?

Thank-You once again to Magnus and all of the Jeep Garage members that assisted in making this great deal available to us.

Funny I have communicated with CTXSWE/Magnus a number of times during the last week, with both concerns I had regarding the product and once the
I placed a order they needed extra information on my system.

Even with the time difference I found his response time very quick. questions answered and concerns put to rest

I personally look forward to receiving the product and installing it :D

So although I am yet to receive and test the product therefore can not comment on it at this stage, but have found CTXSWE/Magnus very polite, patient and helpful.
For which I cant thank him enough

I would like to say that as an IT/Network technician for more than 15 years I myself have had to eat a lot of crap form people that get pissed off because things don't work are do like they want it too. I can tell you this much that I have learned though the years dealing with pissed off people. You can never please some people, no matter what you do for them. With that said I myself had some problems with the Customtronix after my order was placed and shipped. I never got my token info, but I worked behind the scenes with Tony on our forum with the problem so he could work with Customtronix to help me get the issue resolved. I didn't get on our forum and start talking bad about Customtronix and the product. It took Tony and Customtronix less than a day to get everything resolved and I could not be happier with the RAX-Jailbreaker. I think it is by far the best product on the market. I had the Lockpick installed for several months and let me tell you, the RAX-Jailbreaker is a beast compared to the Lockpick. The guys at Customtronix have a great product and I look forward to working with them and using there product in my Jeep. Please don't sell yourself short over little issues, because you will be losing a great product that I know you would really enjoy in your Jeep. :)

Hey guys,

I just applied the RAX Jail Break to my AUS spec 2014 Diesel Laredo. The process is very simple and all works as expected. I haven't connected the front cam yet. My harness and front cam are estimated to arrive on Tuesday. I will be using the cargo cam input to mirror my android phone like others have done.

Cheers,
Chris

Guys things like this is also what developers like to see also.

Not only troubles that one or two has but the success that the silent ones have also.

If you have installed even part of your install let everyone know what you think if you have problems give me a shout in a pm lets find out what is going on.

I am a beta tester and from day 1 I was impressed and this keep getting better.

Let us help you through things here in the JG for this is how and why Magnus is offering these prices to the club so that WE can support our members and keep his support load down some for things are normally simple fixes.

Lets let him develop as we enjoy our jeeps

Tony

A little update on my side:

I got the camera and harness on Friday; thank you for the quick turnaround!

I just finished installing it on my truck, it took me around 1h30 including 1h to get the wiring from the radio to the camera.

I went thru an existing grommet on passenger side. I took my switched 12v from the cigarette lighter in media stack.

Here's what it looks like:

Land vehicle Grille Automotive exterior Vehicle Vehicle registration plate

Vehicle Car Automotive exterior Auto part Grille

Land vehicle Vehicle Car Vehicle audio Multimedia

Thank you everyone for the support online and thank you CLStech for the great lockpick!

I have a question for you beta tester (heavy users of the front cam feature). Once you put it in drive and the Fcam comes on, it goes off after you reach a certain speed. How do you bring it back on once you are under the cutoff speed, I mean I would like to be pulling into a spot or tight entry and want ot turn the fcam back on. Or is this not possible unless you shift from drive and then back into drive?

I know there is now an option to have the cam come on automatically when under a certain speed but I do not see that very appealing. I just want to be able to mannually turn it on when needed and of course under the speed cutoff not while I am on the highway.

I don't plan on using a front cam, is it going to try to switch inputs when I start to drive? I mainly want the jail break/ harness to stream video and have the unlock. Just waiting for "pay now" email.

I actually tried placing the cam up high like coolspot did but just did not feel comfortable with that location, then I was going to mount it like Magnus had it on the truck on the video. Not comfortable with there either my luck a rock would have taken it out.

Since the dealer installed the front license plate bracket I figured 1 more hole on my bumper would not hurt

I also drilled a hole on the bracket and the license plate, since I have one of those plastic covers on my license plate as well I figured the cam would be protected.

Only problem is I now need a cam that has the proximity markers, currently picture is great but I cant really tell how close I am to things unless I get really close.

Nice! yes I could not fit my inside the honeycomb grill, I hated the straight slotted grill, now...

I really only need the front cam for parking, I hate that I have already hit the bushes at work and I would be really bummed if one day I was to hit a concrete wall or concrete light housing.

I have been searching for cams that have a proximity marker like our rear cams, anyone know of any that are after market?

#512 ·
How exactly are you guys mounting it? In other words, what are you using to mount it? I don't have one yet so maybe it'd be obvious if I did, not sure lol

for those that may not have seen my post before ...... Here is a snapshot of my front view cam at the bottom of the screen you can see the plate holder on the bumper so you really have the advantage of knowing how close to an object you are and be able to see the ground ahead of you also yet the cam is up out of harms way

I received my token and download link, but have not received the rollback software. I don't want to install anything I cannot reverse. I emailed order@customtronix.com yesterday and have not received a reply (They replied quickly when I needed to pay for my order)

Does anyone else have the link to the rollback software?

EDIT: Magnus was kind enough to respond about 2 hours ago, flashing now!

Guys I need help. Just tried installing my jailbreak and the normal screen came up asking if I wanted to update and I did. Then it reboot and went to a system check and then said "insert coin for vin number (my vin). Please remove USB stick to reboot. What's going wrong here? When I remove the stick it reboots and nothing works. Then it recognizes the stick again and does the same thing. I did notice I was using an older version that what it was asking me to update to. Is this the problem? If so how do I update before jailbreaking?
