Hi guys!

Its has been I while since I don't post here. Today I got a new Radio replacement due to a sync issue with my iPod Classic.

How do I know if I have the latest software and updates on it? Anything that can be updated or improved?

Thanks Jacko... unfortunately it said "There are no updates available for your 2011 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO X 4X2 equipped with the Uconnect 430N CD/DVD/MP3/HDD/NAV radio "

I guess there is no manual / alternative update :(

The latest is 50.00.07 but I would not take the chance and upgraded unless your software version was at least 30.00.00

My '12 had 30 and I was able to upgrade to 50

My '11 had 20 and it bricked the radio during the grade process.

The update gets rid of the light blue back ground and logos and turns it to black and grey.

The only benefit for me doing the upgrade was the camera delay function so that when parking you could drive forward for about 10 seconds and still some images behind you on the screen.

Latest software?
NO.

Can you upgrade?
Hell yes!

My '12 started at v23.
Chrysler sent me v33.
I pulled v50 from these forums (look for Sox's web site info).

I think some have gone directly from v23 to v50, but if you want to play it safe, go to v33 first and then v50.

OR if you want to update maps (again search the forums for assistance), then do that before you update to v50.

One BIG tip....
When you burn the CDROM for the radio updates, make sure to choose the slowest speed possible for your burner (don't use Auto for the speed).

The updates work for the 430 and 430N radios.

Feel free to PM me for assistance.
I work in Information Technology (operating systems, applications, and SQL), so playing around with this stuff is 'fun' for me.

Thanks Todd,

I tried once to search and do it on my own, but I got confused by the different versions of radios and their software that I end up leaving it for later. I think is time to search again.

I someone can provide some links, it would be greatly appreciated.
