Re: ***New Software Application MyGIG Update RHR-RHW-RHP 2.136***

Installed 2.136 (had 2.120) and Gracenotes 4118. Of note, my wifes NEXUS 7 now streams audio over BT. This did not work with 2.120. On another note, my Droid X2 streams better, and gracenotes provided accurate album art. However, gracenotes provides NO album art for my wifes Nexus 7. Not sure why, my Music comes from Windows Media player to my Droid, my wifes NEXUS music comes from Itunes if that matters. Anyway, also looking for a list of what 2.136 added besides BT compatability.

Re: ***New Software Application MyGIG Update RHR-RHW-RHP 2.136***

I have now had 2.136 installed for a few days.I am noticing the previously mentioned FM sound quality sounds better, the battery indicator on IOS6 on iPhone is working correctly and the bluetooth streaming seems more reliable than 2.126 with Gracenotes identifying artwork more reliably. Also noticed that with USB to iPod (current one) that it does not reliably restart when the car is started which 2.126 did bester .... just a matter off selecting though. That is about it so far that I can see.

Re: ***New Software Application MyGIG Update RHR-RHW-RHP 2.136***

For Those Who Are Installing via USB on Mac...

Download the files from previously mentioned posts.

Open up downloaded RHR 2.136.ISO file. This will place a disc called "My Disc" on the desktop. Open That.

Insert a minimum 4GB USB file that has been erased through Disk Utility. You don't want any other files on there besides what you are about to copy.

Copy the Becker and two CDI files mentioned here:
What version of Application Software did your RHR 730N come with?

Turn Car On.
Insert USB drive into USB port on radio.
Press power on radio to turn radio off.
Wait 5 to 10 Seconds and power Radio back on.
It can take a minute for the USB drive to be recognized.

Upgraded with no issues, Music from FM, sounds better, BT streaming from both Blackberry and Samsung Galaxy has more volume.

Thanks again, SOX I don't know what we would do without you.

Updated last night in 20 minutes. Check your audio balance and fade settings after the update. They are reset to flat specs.
Thanks again Sox!

Re: ***New Software Application MyGIG Update RHR-RHW-RHP 2.136***

Hi All..
I apologize if this is posted in the wrong thread. I'm having an issue with a rhr730n and was wondering if anyone else had experienced it and if upgrading to the latest software would help. Current application software is 2.116

Occasionally after making or receiving a call via a Bluetooth, the volume is not restored to the rear speakers (the rear speakers seem to automatically mute for the call). Any adjustment to the fade restores the sound or even sometimes making and ending another call will. It seems like maybe the factory amp is missing the can bus signal to unmute the rear speakers somehow. This does not happen every time, its rather intermittent.

Has anyone else seen this?

Maybe this was short lived for me. I charged in the Jeep on a drive last night. When I stopped the nav screen showed red with little battery and the iphone showed 98% charge.

Thanks again Sox!
I noticed after the update that most everything was reset (not the favorite stations though). I had to redo the voice recognition part too. That was something I didn't need to do with 2.126. After the update to 2.136 My bluetooth call dropped right in the middle of a call and suddenly I didn't have access to my phone via the RHR. I had to delete the phone from bluetooth and re-establish the link.

One thing I sure hope 2.136 fixes is when the sound just drops from the system. The radio/satellite/phone sound just dropped out without notice. The only way to get it back was to shut power to the car and open the door then turn the car back on. It was annoying as heck.
