The database code says M 1035 4.0.3, does anyone know if there is a later version available and how I can download it? It covers several countries in the Middle East but really I just need Qatar. I spoke to Navteq and they said I need to speak to a local dealer but they have been no help at all.
Grateful for any help?
Hi, on page 1 post #5 you will find where *SOX* is so kind to make the updates available. If you know what type of system you have you are likely to find what you are looking for in those folders.
Link: NEW software application RHR-RHW-RHP 2.184
The Firmware/software update for the MYGIG itself should NOT take a whole day. Most of the post I have read indicate 15 to 20 minutes. I did it in the the same amount of time.
You will find details in this thread on how to use the files you will download.
The MYGIG .iso file needs to be unzipper/unrarred and you will end up with 2 files.
EDIT: my apolgies, most likely when you download it might be zipped into one file, when you unzip it there will be an .iso file and that is the one you need to put on a disc or \usb stick.
and updated the system as follows:
Turn car on.
Insert USB drive into USB port on radio.
Press power button on radio to turn radio off.
Wait 5 to 10 seconds and power the radio back on.
The radio will start identifying the USB drive, it can take a minute for it to recognize it.
Just follow any prompt (if any) on the screen and just let it update.
As for the map(s), that is a separate update and as far as I know not provided by *SOX*. Those will come from whomever your nav system is from.
I am guessing if you know what you have to look for you might find an update floating around on the interweb somewhere. If you google NavTeq it will get you to their site and through them you will find GPS Navigation System | HERE | Navigation.com
where you can (in general) buy map updates.
And there is Gracenotes which is again separate from the system software. This is used to add album covers etc to the music you might have on your hard drive. And update can be found on *SOX* 's drive as well.
I hope this helps. (and all the info above is in more detail in this thread).
