There are many, many
posts in this forum that explain what to do so I'd suggest you read them but I'll do my best to explain.
I've spent all of 15 minutes researching this myself so you may want to read back yourself.
a) If you currently have existing issues with your stereo you may have a bad/failing HDD and shouldn't upgrade without explaining your issues in the forum first.
2.600 is the latest for the 730n RHR (same stereo my FIL has). Burn the 2.600 ISO to disk using an imaging program (I use Imgburn installed from ninite.com) at 2x speed with the 'verify disk' feature enabled. I believe sox recommends using Verbatim DVD-R media? Do not use USB as it has bricked (broken) at least a couple radios.
Put it in your stereo and it will be recognized and prompt you to install. Follow the steps and don't turn the vehicle off until it's completed (around 25 minutes).
When it asks you if you want to upgrade from 2.600 to 2.600 you know it is 100% complete. You can then click 'no' and eject the DVD.
b) Gracenotes are album covers (that are copied locally to the HDD) for CDs that you insert into your stereo and they are a different download/ISO/DVD available on sox's mydrive. You'll want to install 5411 for the RHR.
