Re: New Tweets are in! (with pics)

The door panel has to come off in order to get the upper trim piece off. I tried to get it off without taking the door off and im pretty sure its impossible without breaking something! If you pop the door panel off you can easily take off the upper black trim the surrounds the window and also holds the tweeter. There are tabs holding the tweeter in the trim you have to release to get it out. I used a rubber like putty to hold the new tweets in because there is no way to secure them. My tweets were significantly larger (the casing was larger) than the stock tweets. Good luck and ask away with questions if you have anymore. Ive had my panels off about 5 or 6 times messing with the crossovers as well (i mounted the crossover under the 6x9 in the door. The speaker is in a baffle that sticks away from the door so underneath it was space the crossover would fit which ended up being about flush with the speaker after it was mounted.

Re: New Tweets are in! (with pics)

Thanks for the answer, I already removed the door panel. I switched the stock 6x9 with a 6" woofer... but couldnīt take out the upper door trim without feeling I was going to break the lower clip (a small black clip just under the tweet where the upper door trim ends), so you just have to pull that clip out??? it wonīt break??

My tweets are also a little bigger than stock ones (1" vs 1.1"), so I gonna have to figure out how to secure them as well... the rubber like putty may be a good idea.

My plan is to put crossovers near the stock amp, so I could use the stock wiring for the front speaker and tweets.

Thanks!

Pablo
