No AVC on RHR?

I'm wondering why there is no automatic speed-controlled volume on this radio? This feature has been around for at least 12 years that I know of. I haven't had to turn the radio down when exiting the interstate in that many years. It is standard equipment on most other radios.

Cuz the vehicle's so quiet it doesn't need volume compensation for increased speed.

Re: No AVC on RHR?

The Jeep is very quiet. So is our Malibu, but it has AVC. Hard to believe Alpine wouldn't put it in there. I wanna' bellieve it's in there but for some reason Chrysler blocked access to it.

Re: No AVC on RHR?

After we've had a chance to take the new buggy on a long trip I'll know if it would profit from this feature. So far I haven't even noticed the lack of it, but then I'm due to clean out the earwax, too.

Re: No AVC on RHR?

The WK2 is so quiet the only time I need to change volume is when opening windows or sunroof at speed, not just due to speed alone. Steering wheel buttons come in handy then.

Re: No AVC on RHR?

Last week I drove a rental Dodge Charger around the Maritimes.
Anyway, the radio in that car had speed-comp volume, so I just naturally assumed the GC would have it.
I guess not.
