No surround sound after 13.48.3 update

Anyone having problems with keeping the surround sound option checked? Mine will not stay on after the update. There is a message that says "surround is not availiable in all modes" and then it switches off. It worked fine before the update. Otherwise everything else seems fine, no issues with backup cam.

No reason to be nervous. Most people seem to have no issues. If you do, as I did, switching back is as easy as going forward. Just insert a usb with the older version and sit back for 15 - 20 minutes.

When I did that, everything went back to the way it was ... Which was all good, but with no apps.

Did you try to switch from on to off or the reverse when you playing a music? Mine shows the same message but I can keep the surround on and there is a difference when I switch to off. So I think it could just be some text mistake they made.

Re: No surround sound after 13.48.3 update

I did my update in Dec and I just started noticing that my Surround Sound is defaulting to off. I don't seem to notice a difference in the sound though.

I gave up on the surround sound issue, then it started working normally a few days later so Im not sure what that was all about. Hopefully yours will come back as well. I was having freezup issues every once in while where my steering wheel buttons dont allow me to change preset sirius stations, but the latest update seemed to fix that issue until today.

Today I had the replacement antenna TSB done, and afterwards i couldnt change my presets again. Its intermittent so not that big of deal. It seems this radio is working on something in the background, and will not behave until it finishes whatever its doing. Maybe the dealer reset radio as part of the process and radio is still updating?

I believe I fixed the problem. First my surround sound kept defaulting to off and when I selected on it would switch back to off after a few seconds. I then hit voice command and said " turn surround sound on". Now everything is fine. It seems it may be a touch screen issue perhaps. Hope this helps

No problems with Surround Sound staying selected since I updated the radio to 13.48.3.
