That's the same amp I had my eye on. Great specs and tiny footprint. Love it.

Yes. Someone in here is running it and loves it. This will be a weekend project though and I will make sure I document with pictures for everyone to see. Sometime in the spring I will have all parts and do the audio.

I'm running the PDX-V9 in my '12, along with Focal's front and rear and the Stealthbox. There's a thread on here somewhere. Very nice sounding setup.

Hi Dslide

Any reason you opted not to replace the speakers in the rear door? Didn't look like they were on your list....

Love the install and very stealth. Only way to go

I knew someone had this exact setup b/c when I was researching I wanted to go with something that someone was already running and tried and true. Sounds good 67 rally? Clearer and more base than stock Alpine system?

I debated about the rear doors and even the dash speaker, and am still tempted to uprgade them, but honestly the system sounds so freaking good I just don't know if it's necessary. Maybe it would sound a little better, but can't justify the expense right now since I love the sound so much as is. I did move the sub control dial as I couldn't stand looking at the bracket under the dash with the green light. Much better for me just west of the e-brake.... more stealth. Peace.

Re: Overland stereo upgrade and other pics

How'd it wired. 2 channels for the front doors, 2 channels for the rear surrounds, and 2 channels for the sub? all going to the JL Audio amp and kenwood amp?

Re: Overland stereo upgrade and other pics

Also, how does it sound with the stock speakers you left in? Any timing delays from not running a processor and using the stock DSP?

Re: Overland stereo upgrade and other pics

Just purchased my PDX v9 off of Amazon. Saved a ton a money, Yes I am taking a risk not getting from a authorized retailer, but when it came today appears brand new so we shall see.

Re: Overland stereo upgrade and other pics

So, after living with your new system for a while , do you feel there is anything you would have done differently? Different components? PS 165's? (are they really that much different?) LC7i over the LC6i? More power? Anything?

Or is it perfect just like it is?!

Sorry for the late response, as I didn't notice the question earlier. Like I said before, this system sounds amazing to me. The stock Overland system is quite good, but this is much better. That said, I do wonder if it gets progressively better with upgraded rear door speakers and dash speaker replacement. I'm also sure there are other/ newer components/ amps that will probably deliver more. When I went shopping this is what I landed on and I love it. No regrets.

Re: Overland stereo upgrade and other pics

I am thinking of running a very similar upgrade to this. I am wondering, what are the two amps for - one for the sub and one for everything else? Did you end up re-wiring all of the speakers you left in through the new amps? Finally, why did you pick the rear upper speakers over the others?

Thanks - looks great!
