I have noticed the WK2 does a great job of keeping the interior temps regulated in the Auto setting...even with a vent closed (or blocked). The ventilated seats also work awesome in the hot sun!

What is.... "summer". ???

That's where I've put my iPhone too. (for now)
We'll see how it works when the temps climb up to a blistering 70° F in July.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

I've been using a dash mount from proclipusa.com, and it worked great on my old WJ, I have a new one already, waiting for my new Wk2 to arrive, hopefully mid April. They have vent mounts, transome mounts and dash mounts to choose from. I also got a change over bracket for my iPad as well. Check out their web site.

I haven't got round to turning her on and I don't get the announcements.

I like the OP's position because I sync music through BT and it would be easier to select songs. (The quality isn't awesome using BT but it is heaps faster than using the USB port)

My prefered location.
No wholes.
The bracket goes behind the trim and screws in to the radio mount

X2. I want to mount my phone right below the vent where Tallguy has his, but can not find anything. This looks as close as I've seen to what I want.

The bracket is custom made by myself.
The phone cradle is a Wilson electronics universal phone cradle.
Screwed to the custom bracket.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Got the Brodit (Pro-Clip) adjustable mount for iPhone with ultra slim bumber case from Amazon (~$4).
Removed the swivel mount and mounted adjustable plate directly on vent mount > Moves iPhone closer to the mount and the angle works perfectly). Very happy with this solution and plenty of air going through in the back, vent is open but air gets redirected.

That would not be good for us out in the 47c (117f) heat in the desert

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

When you first get in the car after it is parked in the sun for a couple of hours.
Everything is too hot to touch.
I try to park with the sun to the back of the car.
It can easily get to 80c (176f) inside the car. I am in Australia.
You want as much air blowing on you until it cools down then I move the vents away.
I have gotten blisters from touching the metal on the outside of the car when its been really hot.
I am not talking about heating the inside of the car but cooling.
