OK thanks. I had to do the same with my JK , made a bracket that mounted on both sides one was to mount the cobra 75 CB and the other was for the phone. NOW to try and figure out how to remove the surrounding around the radio
thanks again

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Toss it in the cupholder = free. If I need the cupholders, I toss it in the lower, center dash compartment (with door). I don't really care for unsightly brackets, etc. I guess if I needed to SEE my phone while I was driving, a bracket would help.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

I like the OPs solution. For me, though, I've had to put mine in the storage compartment. It's truly the only way I won't touch it while driving.

Out of sight, out of mind.

Cheers,

I found Uconnect works best if you have first and surname. just a single name seems to fail all the time.

My mount is my pocket. No need to be messing around with my phone while driving. If I have a call, BT gets it for me. Since you don't have a factory BT, check out Blue Ant.....it's a pretty cool aftermarket device.

I use the touchscreen to dial extensions. And IPhone 4s, and wife's 3s.
I need the mount were I live if the phone is in my pocket or in the console it gets no signal

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Does anyone know of a bracket or how to make one where the phone can be mounted here, but on the drivers side? I would want to mount it on the side by the AC controls under the vent.

Mongoose9400 is an unknown quantity at this point
Haha. I discovered the OPs iPhone mount a while back ago on some long trips. I wanted a place to set my iPhone and view some movies. It works pretty well. If not there my iPhone 4s is just thrown in the cup holder getting thrown around every time I hit the gas on the 6.4L. I can't say how many times it's jumped out of the cup holder during a launch lol. It's all good though. I'm not a traditional mount my phone kinda guy. Hell, I don't use a case nor screen protector. I like it all natural

Well: iPhone 4 case (limited protection but 100% screen usability and great looks) at Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Replicas...817482&sr=8-14

requires adjustable Brodit cradle # 511165 because of increased width:
I did remove the tilt swivel and mounted the adjustable cradle directly on the vent mount.

and WK2 vent mount:

What if you have to slam the brakes? Or get in an accident? Your iPhone could go right through your face.
