Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

I dont know if anyone has posted about this before but I found the almost perfect spot of my iPhone. In between the speedo and the rev counter, an iPhone in a case wedges in perfectly. While it does block the view of the little screen (downfall if you use the digital speedo feature), It does hold it securely. Great if you use GPS on your phone or just want the phone at semi eye level to see who is calling without fumbling around.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

If you sync your phone through BT it will display who is calling on the head unit and announce it through the speakers.

It is through the UConnect...I believe the option is to pair device. Then you can make/receive calls, etc. I guess OP must have the "dumbed down" head unit without UConnect.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Really? Mine does. Says "Call From:" and then speaks the name of the person calling.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Sure... When set-up or paired correctly, the music program should mute and...

The U-Connect should both announce & display on the screen "Incoming Call".

And, it also should display or list your contact while giving you the choice to accept to answer.

As far as that iphone spot, I think that most would not want to give-up & block their invaluable EVIC display.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Are you guys sure every model of the WK2 doesn't have Bluetooth and UConnect? Even my mom's 2012 base Wrangler sport has Bluetooth connectivity...

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

I know for a fact mine does not. Its a 2011 GC. Then again I already suspect my dealership of being shady and have complained about them to Jeep, so for all I know it did have it and they removed it. They told me mine wasnt a push to start because it didnt have the button installed. Took a toyota dealer to tell me the truth. Sketchy.

Re: Perfect iPhone Spot...Almost

Yea, only problem is it blocks the air vent. Here in Fla, we need all the air vents we can get in the summer.
