Completely agree. Love the truck, but they dropped the ball on the NAV/Radio System. My wife has a BMW and it's light-years ahead of this one.

This may be old news, but you might check to see if you have the latest software version for your RER. The dealer upgraded my today, said one of the things the update addresses is the iPhone connectivity.

Use the voice button, not the phone button. I used it just now to skip a prompt.

Re: "Phone Call Complete"......

Does turning off the voice in the "voice prompts on/off" feature disable the "phone call complete" message?

OHHHHHH - okay, not the phone icon button, but the other "voice" button. I have to give that a shot. You hit that to answer a call and skip the long announcement?

You may be on to something... I turned off some sort of prompting I know that, and I definitely still get long announcements on incoming calls and "phone call complete" upon ending calls.

Re: "Phone Call Complete"......

I have the RHR and I agree the "phone call complete" is stupid in addition to the chime. I don't recall getting an incoming announcement of the caller name, just something that says "press uconnect phone button." However I'm pretty sure I just bypass by pressing the answer button on the screen or the uconnect button on the steering wheel.

My other gripe is with the phone book. When voice dialing if there are more than one entry under the same name it will prompt you for a line number...BUT all it will show on the screen is the same name multiple times. How the hell am I supposed to tell which line number to pick if I can't see the phone number or at least the type of number (mobile, work, etc)?? You have to guess at the line number and then it will confirm by saying "calling John Doe mobile, is this correct?" how stupid is that?? I don't want to have to enter sepapate contact entries just to tell phone numbers apart when voice dialing. Also the same problem exists for manual address book entries into the hard drive which are then duplicated when my phone's contacts are uploaded.

I say "dial John Doe mobile" and it picks the right number.

I think I unsuccessfully tried that but will try again.

Re: "Phone Call Complete"......

I have tried and tried to defeat the voice prompts. Recently, I've just started to initiate the calls from my phone and the UConnect picks it up just fine. I love the Uconnect, but the "prompt woman" has got to find a new home!

Yea I don't even mess with the voice dialing really - that's never worked great for me.
