Phone volume

Hope this is not too silly a question but how can I set a default phone sound volume? I can't find it in the U-Connect manual.

Whenever I recieve a call via bluetooth, the volume is extremely low compared to the radio volume and I have to manually turn it up each time. Can I pre-set the phone volume?

(In my Audi, I can set individual volumes for radio, phone and nav.)

Thanks....

Re: Phone volume

I may misunderstood you but my hands free volume is controlled on the 430N by just turning the knob to the desired level...once the call has been answered. I do not use my phone volume to control it.

Turning the knob while talking via uconnect controls the volume separtely from the radio.

Yes, but it seems that when next call comes in the volume is low again. I may be wrong - need to double-check.

I've never had that issue on the 730. Are you guys all using the 430?

Re: Phone volume

I'm using the 430N but do not have that problem. The volume stays wherever I leave it. Are yup using the volume switch on your phone and it is causing the BT on the radio to adjust?

Re: Phone volume

I have the 730N and yes I can easily turn up the volume and I have to because it's set very low. The next call repeats the same process.
(This is all via bluetooth....the phone is in my pocket.)

Re: Phone volume

Thanks for all the input.
I finally found it in the 730N manual online:

Changing the Volume
1. Start a dialogue by pressing the Voice Command
hard-key.
2. Say a command (e.g., HELP).
3. Use the ON/OFF VOLUME rotary knob to adjust the
volume to a comfortable level while the Voice Command
system is speaking.

If you have 430N your Navigation will be Garmin. If you have 730N it will be something else (not Garmin)

Check your windows sticker - it will be in the list of options.

Or you may be able to see windows sticker online - go to this link:

http://www.jeep.com/hostc/getWindowS...RS4GG2BC554471

and replace VIN at the end of the link with your VIN

Just look in the bottom right corner of your radio faceplate:

RHB = 430N
RER = 730N

Re: Phone volume

Sorry to dredge up this old thread, but I am having an issue with my 430RBZ hands free. Most every BT U-Connect call I have had, the party on the other end states they can barely hear me? My volume is up on speaker and I hear them loud and clear, but they always have trouble hearing me unless I am practically face planted against the rear view mirror? (and that must look silly) Is there a separate mic sensor volume or something I can adjust?
