Exclamation Picked Up our new Overland V8...just a surprise when I turned on the radio...

Once I turned on the radio, we were greeted with FULL VOLUME! It hurt our ears for the short 2 seconds it took me to turn the knob down. My only concern is this guys: DO YOU THINK THE SPEAKERS WERE OR COULD HAVE BEEN DAMAGED FOR BEING AT FULL BLAST VOLUME FOR A FEW SECONDS (R & B HIP HOP WAS PLAYING AT THE TIME). Any ideas on common sense stuff as to what I should look/listen for to make sure they aren't damaged. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable ride home in the new ride...cannot wait to learn more about it! (We also couldn't get the quadra lift to get in park mode when the vehicle was in park, so I am troubleshooting that as well...any ideas on that one?)

If the speakers are blown, they'll already sound it (buzzing sound). If you aren't hearing it, you're fine.

As for the QL, I don't know. If all doors are closed, the engine is on, and the vehicle is moving slower than 15mph, it should go into Park mode.

If the speakers are blown they will crackle. Don't worry about it, they are covered under the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty

Besides, if the car prep guys had it blasting for an hour at that volume, a couple more minutes won't break anything that wasn't already blown

That's why I wanted to be there when it rolled off the truck, before the prep guys say "Hey, it's one of the new Jeeps, let's see what this baby can really do!".

Hey, man, check out this air lift system - up down up down up down woohoo!

I know (and you guys know) that mthe volume level of the radio is at its last position when the radio or ignition is turned off, which means someone knew and had it that loud. I agree with 'bebe', just doesn't seem appropriate or right. Worry? maybe so, but we paid enough $$$ for everything to be perfect, INCLUDING the experience of it all. The slightest crackle or buzz and I'll be on the phone. Point is though for any of you professional audio guys, the concensus is not to worry....right?!

A damaged speaker isn't hard to detect. If there's no crackling/buzzing then they're fine.
