Re: Pioneer AVH-X1500 Receiver install pics

Good advice Rdub, ill definitely look into this. I was browsing on Just for Jeeps just now, and noticed that they have the mopar stock subwoofer available. Only problem is that is says can not be added to vehicles not equipped with the factory subwoofer. Anybody have any suggestions to a subwoofer similar to the JL stealthbox that would look factory. I need to trunk space so I dont want to put a sub box and amp in there but i do not think the stealthbox is worth spending that much money

Re: Pioneer AVH-X1500 Receiver install pics

Im having a few wiring problems. I wired the unit so it turns on and the speakers work and everything but so far no steering wheels controls. what am I missing here. the wires off the PAC that i haven't used are orange/white, blue/white, green, purple/white, and the blue/yellow one at the bottom.. im not 100% positive I have the solid blue one right either.. right now its connected to the blue/white wire off of the pioneer that says " connect to the system control terminal of the power amp or auto antenna relay control terminal" below is the wiring for head unit ..... which ones do i need to connect?

Compare the RP4-CH11 wiring diagram and the Pioneer diagram to make sure all necessary wires are connected.

There's a setting on the RP4-CH11 for the steering wheel controls. You select a number depending on your headunit manufacturer.

Read the RP4-CH11 instructions and you'll be good.

Re: Pioneer AVH-X1500 Receiver install pics

Thats the problem, Ive read the the instructions over and over and still getting no swc. Ill describe my connections below for everything and I was hoping a forum member could review the instructions of the PAC and the head unit which ive attached below and compare what ive connected to what they think is correct. here is what I have so far. All +/- , front and rear speaker wires are correct so i wont list them. Keep in mind the head unit turns on with the car, and the music plays from all speakers but just not able to use SWC.

PAC wires listed first / followed by connected Head Unit wires

(wires) / (wires)

Yellow (battery12v) to Yellow (12v)
Black (ground) to Black (ground)
Blue (Antenna on input) to Blue/White (says connect to system control terminal of the power amp or auto-antenna relay control terminal) - not sure about this one
Orange/white (Illum. output +) to orange/white (connect to lighting switch terminal) -not sure about this one
Red(Acc. Output 1 amp) to Red (connect to terminal controlled by ignition switch) - Not sure about this one
Blue/white (Amp turn on input) to ?
Red/white (P.B. Output -) to ?
Purple/white (Vss output) to ?
Green (reverse output) to ?
Blue/yellow (bottom of the PAC) to (not used)

SWC connection plug is pushed into the WR(wired remote input) on head unit
Antenna is plugged into feed from car. Not sure if this is correct either because their is two that it fits into (see pic below, a yellow one and a white one) plugged into the white one and HU turns on speakers play)

Ive set the number on the PAC to 7 as it is a pioneer HU as well, red LED light on SWC turns on.

After all this still no SWC. Any thoughts
There are some plugs from the cherokee that i havent connected b.c idk what they are for, they might be extra (pics below small grey, and white connecter that were plugged into stock radio). there is also a spot on the bottom of the SWC interface that has nothing connected to it. See pictures below for this as well.

Re: Pioneer AVH-X1500 Receiver install pics

Ok, let me try and help

PAC Wire - Pioneer wire

Yellow - Yellow
Orange/White - Orange/White
Red - Red
Black - Black
Green - Violet/White
Red/White - Light Green
Blue/White - Blue/White

Hook up the speaker wires.
Hook up the 3.5mm jack for the SWC.

All other wires from the Pionner harness and PAC interface are to remain unconnected.

I recommend doing a reset on the PAC interface. This is done by pressing the program button on the side of the interface once and waiting for the timeout.

Finished the install the other day, everything went great and everything works fine. Here are some pictures of how it looks. Took the usb cable that runs from the back and put it down through the compartment under the HVAC. Thanks for all the help Rage!
